Thats the beach for me - how long to get there? - is it just a taxi ride or boat? Anything of interest on the way (like Hell was in Gran Cayman) or is it straight there?

It is less than 30 minutes if memory serves me correctly. Just up over the mountain in the center of the island.

I guess you could take a round about way to get there if you wanted to see anything. However, if you're in the bus with all of us, we won't need to make a stop at any "Hell", it will already be there.

We have 3 jam packed albums of eastern cruises. We can totally bore you all to death in July and make you look at them all. No really, we can show you what we have done and loved the most. I have a friend who lives on St. Thomas so I am going to try to see her this time.

Thanks Paige. I really enjoy going to see her. We get up there about every 6 weeks.

It will be strange when she finally does go. We've been really close for about 20 years now (since I got out of HS, I've gone up on my own often). I think she could easily go another 3-5 years though (I hope).

Her and DS have a really good bond/relationship. Other people say it as well. My uncle always comments on it when we see him. The sad thing is, I don't think Grandma has seen all of the other great-grandkids. She has seen 2 of the 4 from my aunt's family, but not the other 2, and I don't believe she has seen the 2 from my uncle's family. They all live in CA.

Hopefully more relatives will plan on flying in for the 100th next year.

When I looked out the window at 4:00 am we had nothing. I never did go back to sleep but finally looked out again and Sweet Mercy....it's a stinkin' blizzard again!!

Oh, it's going to be awful today. It is suppose to go until this evening and they are talking about thundersnow which will drop about an inch an hour.

Yes, I took that pic back in November 2002 when we spent 5 days at the DVC Vero Beach Resort. Here is one pic of me that my mom took while we were waiting for the sunrise.

We went to Vero back in Oct '06. We're not DVC members, but got a good rate for the room.

Suz was sick and spent almost the whole time in the room, so DS and I were in the pool and playing mini-golf the whole time. We didn't really get to the beach until the last morning (DS was upset we didn't go down to the sand or looking for shells).

The weather wasn't perfect when we went - big rain a couple times. Good reason to get back down there.

Now if McCain wins the election in November, he would take office in January. Her b-day is in March.

Stay Safe out there folks, we are supposed to get some of that stuff here by tomorrow morning, but then the temps are supposed to get into the 40's or 50's and change over to rain. The weather report is maybe up to an inch of slush before the changeover.

So I'm finally trying to wrap up open items for my little tirp in August.

Would you guys spend $90 for DCL xfers from the port to MCO in FL or rent a car for $55?

Our flight is at 12:00 and our airline is NOT in the baggage service.

We've never taken the shuttle before and wonder if due to our timing if the car is quicker (Avis has it ready for us when we get there and we go on our way). Plus, it would save us $35 (for drinks of course).
