Mike's home and doing better. He's a little Foggy and unsteady on his feet, but will get stronger over time.
The Staff at UH were wonderful...
They gave him the VIP room (I really think it was a coincedence) and the nurses liked us so much when he was admitted in December, they went out of their way to take special care of both of us. One nurse offered to bring me something to eat on her way to work. (They loved how we picked on each other.)
Our kids were great...they spent the night at the hospital (sleeping in chairs). Mike's brother arranged a Dr's consultation room, with the VP of the Heart and Vascular Institute, for us to stay in while Mike was in ICU. She made sure we had everything we needed...blankets, pillows, coupons for free specialty coffees and free parking.

Mike's surgeon said Mike was "One tough SOB", so the kids had a shirt made for him to wear home from the hospital.
