Di, those are great mums, I had a football player, but we only do the homecoming in HS here. Bought mums for girlfriends and grandma!!

Yeah Asiah and Elijah really liked theirs. They were proud to wear them. Asiah told me hers was the prettiest one and Elijah said his was the coolest one. Really Elijah's is called a boutineer. I have made these for the past 4 years for them. I made them with my youngest daughter Erika for the 4 years in high school. But that was way back in 1994-1997. She was an officer on the school's ance team so we had to make mums for everyone. Usually around 20 of them each year. It is such a great memory. Erika and her friends mums were much longer and more detailed. Asiah will get the big mum when she is older. Something to look forward to. Right!!!!!

I Made It To 3000 posts!​

So for any of you who are interested here is my Milestone poem:

I'm told that milestones require a poem,
Otherwise Karen will scold,
Now, I've warned my poetry is loathesome,
But still, I've been cajoled.



It's been two years in the planning,
And we haven't long to wait,
With anticipation the kids are brimming,
So now it's up to fate.



Last we were the Konked Kruisers,
And that was a mighty fine time,
Now, we're known as BOBers,
And with new friends it'll be sublime.



Our party will be borne by Disney Magic,
To islands found in the east,
Are you groaning yet o'er this lyric?
I told you I was no artiste.



Halloween is the cruise theme,
And for many Mickey's party will be a blast,
Relax, no need to scream,
Not-So-Scary is the memory to last.



I hear Castaway Cay Call,
I cannot but pay attention,
To waves crashing as they fall,
And the gulls cry o'er the ocean.



Time has come for me to end this prose,
As it has caused much indigestion,
But to the challenge I've arose,
So, I conclude "Let's start the celebration!"

Well, Ellis survived the allergy tests.... just!

Poor kid had 12 done in the end! - I was expecting a few, but not that many

He was real brave (kinda!)

We can now add cats, dogs, fur and dustmite to the list of allergies

No pets for us then

Apparantly he now needs to go on to the adult dosage for epipen too - he's just turned 9!

Awww, poor Ellis! Glad to hear he was a trooper about it. (My sister walks around w/ an Epi-pen as well and it just freaks me out - there are SO many things that people are allergic to). for Ellis.

Those are AWESOME!!!

LOVE all the photos everyone's posting! We are that much closer to sailing, yay!!!! We had an early playdate this morning at the park, now Maddie is napping and another friend of ours is heading over to play in a little bit, she will sleep very well tonight!

Look at my closet, it’s empty now
Wouldn’t my husband get really loud
Asking me what am I doing..

I’ve got tag gifts and magnets a plenty
I’ve got signs that will cover my door
You want Disney t-shirts, I got twenty.
But who cares, for this cruise, I want more…..

I want to pack like the movers pack
Stuff all my suitcases, pay the air fee
How much does this weigh and what do you, what’s the word…. charge?

Dresses and swim suits only get so far
I need more shorts, sandals, buttons, toiletries
Even a pirate’s wench costume isn’t enough

Shlepping these bags
Won’t it be sad
When I can’t walk up onto the port

Going to sea
Our room will be
Stuffed to the brim

I don’t know when
I don’t know how
But I know checklists are starting right now
Watch and you’ll see
For 2013
I’ll start packing noooooooowwwwww

Got My Docs! Whoo Hoo!

As I thought wasn't much that I really needed, except for the luggage tags.

Bummer though, my luggage tags for our stay at PO:R has not yet arrived. I hope those come soon. I got nervous and called reservations and they say that DME is part of my reservation so I should get them. They gave me a direct line to call if I don't see them in the next few days.

Thanks for the hug To be honest you just have to get on with it and deal with it as it happens. Airlines are my worst nightmare and I stress A LOT when we're over ocean with no hospital near Other than that you just have to get on with normal life and read every packet of food etc

Aww - yay for Abby! Is she excited to have them?? Rhee needs braces soon too, and she can't wait to get them, so sh'es going to be VERY jealous of Abby on the trip..

Thanks! She lost her very last one on Saturday night (or rather - I PULLED it out on Saturday night) (It was either that or have the dentist pull it out!
