One month from now---I'll be in bed, trying to will myself to sleep a little longer, but I will be too excited and will have to get up and ready for the day.

How 'bout you?

I don't sleep much in the am, so I will prob, be up willing DH awake to get this day started!!!!!

And more from us:grouphug:

It's quite strange, Joanne. In the past 10 months, we have had 4 brain tumor diagnoses in people from my hometown of 2500 people. Two benign and 2 malignant.....:confused3 The two benign cases (myself and our friend) have not lived there in about 20 years. Coincidence?

Grand Cayman is quite expensive. I hope we don't end up there is we get diverted.:sad2:

If we do... I'm probably not even getting off the ship. I wasn't impressed at all!

OK, I've gotta ask...what are they?

The Egyptian Mummy dogs. I got some pillsbury breadstick dough and rolled it out real thin then partially fried the hot dogs (Kielbasa for me) and wrapped the dogs and a slice of cheddar with the breadsticks in a Mummy fashion. sprinkled garlic salt on them (Sand from the desert) then baked at 375 for about 15 minutes. then used mustard to draw tiny faces on an exposed area of the hot dog. It was yummy!

:woohoo:What will YOU be doing right now, one month from now???:woohoo:

I'll be returning from Jetty Park watching the Magic come back. :yay:

At 5:30 I'll be just waking up to get everything ready to go. I believe that the Limo is picking us up at 9am so I'll need to get everyone dressed, and fed with our luggage down to the door by then.

Hi Joanne and Rose and anyone else lurking...

:hug:to all the ill people..

:hug:for Robin and Mike.

I'm off to the doc's (neurosurgeon) this afternoon. Fingers crossed that he releases me and I only have to go back once a year.

:wizard: pixiedust: good luck to you!

Good morning everyone! Last day of work this week. Tomorrow morning we head to Ohio for Elaine's brother's wedding. It will be a long trip, but right now Elaine is untangling the iPod chargers for the kids. We will charge hers and mine later tonight.

This morning its off to the food bank for me to get some food for our food pantry. Our numbers are going through the roof! A typical month we serve about 85 familes. Last month we served 172 families. When we first arrived at this appointment 4 years ago, we were serving 20-25. Now that is extremely low and I expanded our hours so right away we began serving about 50-60 families, but some days now there is a line out the front door. The good thing is, I just received a grant to hire another employee, so that will help out a lot!

On 10/24 at 8:35 AM, I will probably be doing much the same as I am doing right now in fact. I know, hard to believe right? I will be showered and dressed and probably getting a Dunkin Donuts order for our family and will be heading out to get it! In fact, I anticipate doing that shortly today! :lmao:

On our first cruise 5 years ago, we and another couple went to the Hard Rock in Grand Cayman. We each got a soft drink and order an appetizer sampler to share. It was $34! :scared1:

I like 7 Mile Beach in GC so if we were diverted, I would just go there again.

Thanks. This will be my first attempt at going alone. Rob has a meeting, and it is killing him to not be able to come with me, but I told him I am a big girl--lol. I think he is just a little over-protective when it comes to this. Well, and in the last day or so, we have found out that our high school friend (Rob's college roommate), Jason, has been diagnosed with the same type of brain tumor I had. He will have surgery on Tuesday down in New Orleans. The docs say that it is most probably benign, but we are concerned for Jason because the tumor has attached itself to the brain. I was lucky, my tumor was not attached. It was just pushing on my brain. Jason is an executive at a bank, and one of the most intelligent people we know--super nice to go along with that. He and his wife have three small children. So I'll transfer my "dust stuff" to him if it's ok with y'all.:thumbsup2

:hug::hug:For Jason:hug::hug:

Hey, I missed Nancy's room #. could someone PM me with that? Thanks.

I just did. :)

What gets me about GC, is that with all the money that flows through there and the crazy prices, the place still looks like a dump. Crazy to me!

TAG - IMPORTANT

The last time we were there in 05 the cab driver kept saying the hurricane in 04 was from ocean to ocean!! most of the island was under water!!

Hope it works out as well for him as it has for you.

Lumieres - Thursday lunch 12pm - is everyone still doing this??

and then the Bob photo afterwards?:yay:

We have booked Palo brunch that day, but I think I'll cancel that because I dont want to miss Lumiere Bob lunch

I'll still have the Palo dinner to look forward to on Wednesday evening.

My Tiara is packed and reay to go. I will be there. :dance3:

I need a new do also, but don't have a clue!!

My hair looked so good when I left the shop. It is amazing how different it looked when I did it this morning.:confused3 I am going in next week and she is going to let me style it while she is watching. I told her to cut it any way she wanted to. Jackie and I went to high school together so she knows me really well which can be good or bad. ;)
