I'm back now that everyone is gone. Let's see, I've finally got my network working again (pretty consistantly and all portions of it. I need to reinstall Leahs computer to make sure that works as well. I got the network harddrive working again. That thing scares me a bit, I've got too much on it. I think that I need a backup for my backup! and I installed a new ceiling fan in the family room. The old one stopped spinning for some reason AND always was a bit too dim for the room (it's very large) So I got a new one that supports three 60 watt bulbs and the light in this room is MUCH better. I can actually read in hear at night now. Well, it was a productive two days off.

Thursday morning is here:woohoo:

I don't know if anyone remembers, but we had two friends, Dave and Giap, that were supposed to cruise with us but had to back out because she got pregnant. Well, if she hasn't had the baby by Friday, they are inducing her. She was originally told that she was having a girl, but about a month ago, she had to have another ultrasound and it turns out that she is having a boy. So that makes a grand total of 5 boys and 1 girl.:scared1:

Give them our best Paige.

Hello my wife and 2 kids 7 and 2/3( she turns 3 on the ship)are cruiseing with all of you. I was wondering without reading all the threads on here are any of you doing a cabin to cabin trick or treat. We did this a few years ago and it was fun. I didn't know since we come back halloween day.

Welcome to the thread:goodvibes I'm Karen , cruising with hubby Neil and ds Ellis

Sounds yummy! Do you mind sharing the recipe?

I'd happily share, but its very complicated how you put it all together. When I've had another go at it I'll try to see if I could describe it. You have to wait for things to happen in the pan before you add other stuff and its diffiicult to describe without seeing it...does that make sense?

I looked at Walmart.com and it appears they are running $129.90 USD (or 78.74 GBP).

:headache:Never even thought to look on their website - duh! - I'm stooooopid:rolleyes1.... thanks thoug - thats loads cheaper than over here:thumbsup2

Which reminds me of a funny picture someone sent me yesterday...

I don't think we have ever ordered room service over all the times we've cruised.

Funny story- the only time I ordered room service, I was 6 weeks pregnant. My morning sickness started on the last day of our cruise and all I could fathom eating was plain potato chips. So I ordered a big plate of them at about 9 'clock in the morning.

We ordered cookies and coffee, tea and milk of an evening and we ordered brekkie on the morning of Castaway Cay.:thumbsup2

Good morning peeps. Off to buy a new oven and hob today:rolleyes: - ours has finally given in and gone to cooker heaven:rolleyes:

An expense we could have done without this close to cruising:headache:

Our dishwasher and fridge freezer are also acting up so I pray they last til at least December:sad2:

One more day and we should know our fuel surcharge fate!

Anyone got any lucky four leaf clovers?:rotfl:

Here's a thread that's keeping an eye on the price too.

Well, todays the day....keeping my fingers crossed, but it doesn't look hopeful.:sad2:

What do you guys think about Kevin Skinner winning AGT?

Honestly, Jennifer? I thought there were waaaaaay better acts. I think Kevin got all the sympathy votes. Nice guy, sad story but c'mon...a Vegas act? There's my 2 cents worth. :lmao:

I don't think we have ever ordered room service over all the times we've cruised.

On our first cruise I ordered 2 cookies every day. After the 4th day the guy just brought us a dozen! :lmao::lmao:I ordered two a day for a reason dude! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Karen, maybe this time you can skip that CC brekkie. It made Ellis mis-behave that morning which made his mama upset which made Mama Goose upset.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We intend to!:scared1: - holy cow - that kid performed big time over eating brekkie in the room:scared1: - he can eat where he wants to this time round:lmao:

A hob is the top part where you have the rings. Our oven is built in so the gas burners are seperate.

Well, I guess she went in to labor this morning. I think they left the house around 4:30-5:00 am. She said she was trying to wait until morning; I was a bit worried that she may not make it to the hospital--Bethesda, about an hour away! But it is 7:25 am now, and I haven't heard anything, so I guess she made it. I am glad for her. It's been a long wait for her and she just wants this baby to be born so she can get on with life. I'm sure she'll be bugging the docs to let her come home early.:rotfl:

Nope, another neighbor has them, but all but one goes to school, so not a big deal. We're "helping out" by driving their days for football carpool for a while....well, and cooking meals....

One thing about being on a base--the friendwho had her children this morning put out an email around 5:30am, saying that they were going to the hospital and she was setting up meals. Within the hour, she had meals for 2 weeks.

Hope everything goes well for her.:grouphug:

I'm sure she'll be fine; she a tough one!;)

Hey all!! Just a quick note (non-cruise related) - but my brother held his baby boy today for the first time!! Wanted to share the picture!!

Yep, been there done that!!! I can't say I miss base housing, but I do miss those days when the kids were little of me not working and having that great group of friends.
