Ok, enough stalling...off to ellipticalize and watch BL :thumbsup2

Awww poor Hagan!! Tell him he can celebrate by dressing up on Pirate night too !! pirate: :goodvibes:thumbsup2
Well Cass, this is working out.. I explained the "Pirate Night" to the kids and said that would be their "Halloween".. I think it worked. :thumbsup2 Hagan is now turning his excitement toward the dry erase board that we'll use to communicate. I went over the details tonight and he LOVES the idea. I think I've changed his tune.. :rolleyes1:rotfl:

So glad I got my tickets for it (need to remember to print them off!)

You have to print yours off? They mailed me mine.

Yeah I was checking that out. I wonder if they are doing that for fleet standardization for the new ships.

I think that was the stated reason at the D23 expo.

I looked up some tickets to this when we booked last month -- just 'in case' we could arrange it -- I couldn't find any for less than $160 each.

Hagan cried when he found out we would "miss" Halloween :sad1: Now I know, of course, he won't care when we get on the ship and all... but you know how it is.. being a mom I wanted to do what I could :guilty:

I decided today, that I will order some baskets from Shirley at The Perfect Gift with lots of pirate-y things for the kids, since that will pretty much be their Halloween :) That will surely do the trick! :thumbsup2

Wow! That's too much!

I wouldn't worry about Halloween too much. Rumor on the boards is that the Magic will celebrate Halloween all month. They say that when they're getting the boarding Docs there's a notice with them.

Ooooh where did ya read this Steve???? That would be awesome! Normally DCL only does something on the actual Halloween day!

Ok, I did some digging and found the letter DCL is sending to everyone who is cruising in October...

Dear Guest
Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation. We look forward to sailing with you and want to take this opportunity to share with you some important information as you prepare to pack for your vacation.
During the entire month of October we'll be celebrating Hlloween on every voyage. There will be several themed events, including traditional trick-or-treating and a special costume parade for children.
Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring along their costumes for these special events. There will even be a costume contest for our adult guests on one evening with prizes awarded based on the following categories: Funniest, Best Group, Most Spooky, Most Original, Most Disney
More information on themed nights, times and locations will be available onboard in the Personal Navigator that will be delivered to your stateroom.
All guests are invited to wear costumes; however, we ask that you choose costumes which are not obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in your boarding process, we ask that when considering costume options you refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other related implements, as these items will not be allowed onboard.
Again, we look forward to sailing with you and hope you have a magical cruise.
Sincerely,
The Cast and Crew of Disney Cruise Line

How awesome!!!!

Thanks Steve for the heads-up :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Looks like most cruisers on the Eastern Sailing before us October 10th have received their docs already :thumbsup2 :cool1::woohoo:

But it doesn't look like the sailing before us has them yet.

Soon!! :yay::woohoo:

When I spoke with them today about the upgrade, the CM said they didn't send out the package yet, but will very soon. Once we get that package, it just seems so much more real...I can't wait.

That is AWESOME! How fun! I didn't get that email yet, but thanks for searching. We probably won't dress up, but I'm sure DD would really enjoy it.

Good Job finding that. I had heard about the letter but had not read it myself. Nice to see it confirmed.

Closer and Closer!

Hey all!! Just a quick note (non-cruise related) - but my brother held his baby boy today for the first time!! Wanted to share the picture!!

I'm sooooo excited for him! Love them all so much! Thank you all for your prayers and hugs - they have truly been a blessing to us all!

That looks like one happy Daddy:goodvibes - wonderful piccies - thank you for sharing:hug:

Has the cabin musical chairs stopped now? :rotfl:

Any more announcements?

Just checked mine (again:rolleyes1) and it looks like I'm staying in my SPH. Not too sure who has the rest of them now though! - Cass got Walt and Di's I think, Did anyone get Nancy's? My brains all mushy:rolleyes1... I know,.... nothing new there then:rotfl:

Slightly less manic day for me today

My friend is coming straight after we drop the kids off at school - she's Indian, she's teaching me how to cook a curry from scratch with all the spices etc. - Takes about 2 hours:eek:.... usually only takes me about 40 seconds to order a take out:rolleyes1

After lunch I have a year 4 meeting for parents and then the Munchkin is back home. Nowhere to go tonight though - bliss! - a whole evening to soak in the bath:cloud9:

I guess I should go to bed huh?? :rolleyes1

I am just so darn excited about this Halloween thing!!! :dance3:

Can you tell it's my favourite holiday???? Actually, it's the only holiday I like so I am super stoked!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Morning UKers :wave2:

I'm actually very excited about this too. We've never sailed during Halloween (usually during Christmas times) so this will be super fun for us! I felt bad that DD wouldn't get to go ToT since we fly home on the 31st, but ToT on the ship is MUCH more awesome. Yay! :yay:

Still working on that family pic for ya, Cass. Thanks again! :flower3:

Good morning

Heather - I didnt get a call either or an upgrade - it appears that DCL likes our money, but not enough to call us:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Me likey my free window, but I'd have liked a free verandah more

I like love room, don't get me wrong, but I would love the chance of a free window or balcony just once!

Us Millers are very unlucky....we never get a free upgrade on our flights either...ho hum

Yes, I'd be interested to learn. When we did the halloween cruise back in 2002 it was only on the 31st.
