Well Cass, this is working out.. I explained the "Pirate Night" to the kids and said that would be their "Halloween".. I think it worked.Awww poor Hagan!!Tell him he can celebrate by dressing up on Pirate night too !!

So glad I got my tickets for it (need to remember to print them off!)
Yeah I was checking that out. I wonder if they are doing that for fleet standardization for the new ships.
I looked up some tickets to this when we booked last month -- just 'in case' we could arrange it -- I couldn't find any for less than $160 each.![]()
Hagan cried when he found out we would "miss" HalloweenNow I know, of course, he won't care when we get on the ship and all... but you know how it is.. being a mom I wanted to do what I could
I decided today, that I will order some baskets from Shirley at The Perfect Gift with lots of pirate-y things for the kids, since that will pretty much be their HalloweenThat will surely do the trick!

I think I've changed his tune..

I wouldn't worry about Halloween too much. Rumor on the boards is that the Magic will celebrate Halloween all month. They say that when they're getting the boarding Docs there's a notice with them.
Looks like most cruisers on the Eastern Sailing before us October 10th have received their docs already![]()
But it doesn't look like the sailing before us has them yet.
Soon!!![]()

Ok, I did some digging and found the letter DCL is sending to everyone who is cruising in October...
Dear Guest
Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation. We look forward to sailing with you and want to take this opportunity to share with you some important information as you prepare to pack for your vacation.
During the entire month of October we'll be celebrating Hlloween on every voyage. There will be several themed events, including traditional trick-or-treating and a special costume parade for children.
Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring along their costumes for these special events. There will even be a costume contest for our adult guests on one evening with prizes awarded based on the following categories: Funniest, Best Group, Most Spooky, Most Original, Most Disney
More information on themed nights, times and locations will be available onboard in the Personal Navigator that will be delivered to your stateroom.
All guests are invited to wear costumes; however, we ask that you choose costumes which are not obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in your boarding process, we ask that when considering costume options you refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other related implements, as these items will not be allowed onboard.
Again, we look forward to sailing with you and hope you have a magical cruise.
Sincerely,
The Cast and Crew of Disney Cruise Line
How awesome!!!!
Thanks Steve for the heads-up![]()
That is AWESOME! How fun! I didn't get that email yet, but thanks for searching. We probably won't dress up, but I'm sure DD would really enjoy it.

Heather - I didnt get a call either or an upgrade - it appears that DCL likes our money, but not enough to call us
Me likey my free window, but I'd have liked a free verandah more
It was a fight but I came out victorious
We are now in 5520 so we won't be going for a port upgrade![]()
Ooooh where did ya read this Steve???? That would be awesome! Normally DCL only does something on the actual Halloween day!
