Well, I'm seriously considering upgrading myself today. I just got some extra money so I can afford it. But here's my thinking: an upgrade will cost me about $486 whereas if I'm offered a discounted rate it will be $350 and that's a crap shoot. Now since the cat 6's are GTY and there are cat 5's avail I may get shunted up to cat 5. I'm waiting for Dreams Unlimited to get back to me.

Steve, what about an upgrade to a GTY 7? I know for us, there is a $520 difference from our Cat 10 SPH, so with our 10%, it is only $468. Might be cheaper for you coming from Cat 9.

OK, can MG brag a little here? I just got off the phone with Kristin (DD who lives in AZ just in case some of you don't know) and she has been selected to be a therapist in the Ford Ironman Triathlon in Arizona on November 22nd this year. (It's also their first wedding anniversary) That's pretty darn good for someone who is still a first semester student. She was picked along with someone else from Phoenix. Only two students were chosen from the entire state!!! She won't be working with any of the top athletes though because they all bring along their own therapists.

Also, I'm thinking Jesse (Kristin's DH) may actually be participating in the triathlon too. Not sure, but when I asked Kristin, she just laughed and said "You never know mom". That sounds like a yes to me!

Gosh...am I ever proud of those kids!

Sorry kids, just had to brag a bit. Carry on.

Steve, I was just looking and for us the upgrade from a 10 to a 9 is $200. That means it would only be $320 before the 10%. So if we were Cat 9, it would have only been $288 to a Cat 7. I think I would have pulled the trigger on that one.

However, I forgot you're 4 people and can't do Cat 7. Sorry. It is $540 b/4 the discount to go Cat 9 to Cat 6, or the $486 that you said.

I know when we were first looking Cheryl wanted to go Cat 8 when the SPH's were gone, but I told her it was only $120 b/4 the discount, or $108 net, to get the Cat 7 Navigator's Verandah. She moved on that one.

That's because you are probably putting in 4 people. They only hold 3. When checking rooms, you should do it as 2 people. This way the # of beds won't matter and all rooms will show.
