I was confused about what he said about the Magic. He said globetrotting and Med cruises, but still in the Caribbean. I got distracted, so I missed something important.

Well that didn't tell us anything new.

Won't be sailing the Mexican Riviera in Jan or Feb, that's for sure.

If the Dream is being built, the plans are done. Why not release more drawings or the deck plans?

Also, what about the repo to LA? No mention of that.

Will have to look into this Alaskan cruise though for August 2011.

From lbgraves:

Wonder will summer in Alaska
Out of Vancouver. Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway.
The rest of the time will be three ports on Mexican Riviera...Mazaland, Puerto Valarta and XXX.

Magic will return to the Med
Spain, Italy and France in the summer

Castaway Cay updates reviewed

3/4/5/7 night with same itineraries out of PC

Dream...
80 pieces joined to create ship
380 tons first piece alone

Atrium statue on the Disney Dream will be Admiral Donald Duck!!!!

I think they must have already released some of this info during the D23 - none of the people at the webcast seemed to be really surprised or excited....

Maybe the website will tell us more about the repo and other stuff. I have no interest in Mexico, so I better get on the Wonder before it moves over there...

:flower3: To those who were affected personally.

.

there were a lot of angels made that day:sad1: Even now, years later I still cant believe it happened:sad2:

Alaska it is...homeported in Vancouver

:scared1:TOO COLD FOR ME:cold::cold::cold:

Statue on the Dream will be Admiral Donald Duck!!

I have a WDCC figurine of ADMIRAL DUCK - its one of my favourites - I think that will look great:thumbsup2

Disney Dream will be doing 3,4,5 & 7 day cruises in 2011 :thumbsup2

Was that for the Dream or the Magic? I thought it was the Magic, but they've said before the Magic would be keeping with the East and West when it is in FL.

What is with going back to the Med in 2011? Aren't they having a problem filling the ships for next summer? :confused3

How about something fun like Southern Caribbean?

DW has already said she wants to do Denali if we go to AK, so looks like the Wonder will be out. It will only make a stop in Juneau (furthest north). We would need to get to Anchorage (Whittier) to catch the train.

Looks like we'll be looking for a one-way on a different line instead. That's o.k., I'm sure it will be a lot cheaper and we'll have a balcony (for less than a window).

Saw this posted on the thread following the announcement:

Bookings open to the general public on Sept. 28, 2009. If your Clients are Castaway Club members who’ve completed five or more sailings with Disney Cruise Line, they can book as early as Sept. 21, 2009. Early bookings are available by phone only.

Glad I have 5+ DCL cruises. May look into one of the Dream sailings. I'm still holding a phantom booking for 2010 that I can move. :cool1:

Here's the whole post from the other thread:

It’s a Disney Cruise Line® first! The Disney Wonder® Cruise Ship is sailing to Alaska for a four-month season of 7-night cruises in 2011. Departing out of Vancouver, B.C., the ship will call on popular ports such as Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway.

The first Alaskan cruise sets sail on May 3, 2011, with the last cruise of the season scheduled for Aug. 30, 2011.

Bookings open to the general public on Sept. 28, 2009. If your Clients are Castaway Club members who’ve completed five or more sailings with Disney Cruise Line, they can book as early as Sept. 21, 2009. Early bookings are available by phone only.

Mexican Riviera Cruises
Book-ending the 2011 summer season in Alaska, the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship will sail 7-night Mexican Riviera cruises from the Port of Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.

Mediterranean Cruises
In response to Guest demand, the Disney Magic® Cruise Ship will once again return to the Mediterranean in 2011 with 10- and 11-night cruises sailing out of Barcelona, Spain.

You can explore the culture and beauty of Italy, France and Spain, with a family-friendly experience only Disney can deliver. This itinerary also includes visits to Tunis in Northern Africa; the island nation of Malta; and Ajaccio, Corsica.

Repositioning Cruises
Disney Cruise Line will offer a number of repositioning cruises and special sailings in 2011, including a 15-night Panama Canal crossing; two 14-night transatlantic voyages; a 6-night cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver

I'm still reading through the other site. I didn't see where it said the 3,4, 5 & 7 were specific to anyone ship yet.

I don't recall him saying anything about the Southern Caribbean. I'll have to listen again.

But yes, the Magic is going back to the Med.

That would be a good 13 nights. You could drive to Vancouver, catch a plane to LA and then have your car to go back. Unless you wanted to fly Calgary-LA, Vancouver-Calgary.

So many options!! :faint:
