It is scary how fast this summer went. My youngest goes back to college Monday:sad2: and he will be a senior!!!

Hi everyone,

Well I got motivated today and went out looking for fabric, etc for the non-sew fish extender and I came back without and frustrated.:headache:

I tried JoAnn's, Target and Michael's and did not have luck, especially with any appliques. I looked online and they were expensive especially with shipping.

I usually avoid Walmart bt may have to break down and look there.

I ended up getting my fabric at Walmart because they actually had the best selection of Disney related fabric. I ended up NOT getting the Appliques (I saw some of the princess ones at Joanns, but they were expensive AND too big). Good luck! I'm going to work on making mine this weekend - I too am following the "No-Sew" instructions (but I may have my sewing machine out just in case....)

We are from AZ. Can't wait to get out of the heat. It's funny that you mentioned that your daughter wants to be in the littler kids room as that was the same reaction that our daughter had. I think it was because she saw all the charatcers and the treehouse in the cruise video. All the kids are going to have a blast no matter where they are.

That is EXACTLY what my Becca said! Too funny! Well, our girls will get along FAMOUSLY! My Becca is all about the Tinkerbell Fairies and the princesses and she really wanted to go into that treehouse. I'm sure they will have fun with each other and not care about that!

Just checked the link below. Looks like there will be two other ships in port in St Thomas when we get there. Now, will we have to tender? There is a RCCL ship in St Maarten when we get there too.

Thanks for this link, Heather! I remember seeing it a few months ago and then couldn't find it again, so this is great. Not real happy about there being 2 other ships at St. Thomas :-( Means that Trunk Beach may be busier than it normally is :sad2:. But, since I have no frame of reference, don't think it will matter! :rotfl:

Happy Wednesday is here

I booked for a cabana massage on CC on my first cruise. When I got to the adult beach, I was told that they had over booked and directed back to the teen beach, where I found a group of massage tables under tents. Hated it and because of the wasted journey, only had 30 mins for a neck and head massage. I also don't like the hard sell at the end of the treatments.

So far I haven't heard anyone say they liked the cabana massage. Too bad cuz it sounds like a good one. I have already decided I won't do that one - if I do any at all.

The biggest reason the summer went so fast up this way is that it didn't really get started until August. Weather was horrible!

Hope you both had a happy, sorry I missed them!!

Ditto from me!

Hi everyone!!

I have to agree I can NOT believe how fast this summer has been going. I'm SOOOO looking forward to October, but this planning and anticipating is really fun and I'm loving every second of it!

Last night, I started working on gathering graphics for Door Magnets. There are some SUPER talented people out there that make some awesome things for DiSers..... I am almost overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the stuff.

Well - better do some work today! Need to earn some $$ to spend on the cruise!!

I hear that! It's flying by. I made a rough draft door sign the other day. I am going to be ordering a color laser printer for my office any day now, so I may have to do some playing around more.

I am not creative enough for a fish extender! None of the ones on ebay really appealed to me, so I don't think we will have one of those.

Happy Birthday Rob!

That reminds me, my sister's birthday is Friday. I should go pick out a card and get it out in the mail.

Agreed! It's been a terrible summer weatherwise. I have been trying to take my Men's Fellowship group to a car race the last few Wednesday nights and every Wednesday is threatening. Today looks no different. :sad2:

In '07, I didn't have a fish extender either - this is what I did instead:

That is a great idea. The one time I did it I had a plastic box that some decoration came in and put disney stickers on it.

Happy Birthday to my Rob!!:cake:party::bday:

Happy Birthday to Paige's Rob!! :cake:party::bday:

Happy Birthday Steve!! :cake:party::bday:

Big day today :goodvibes :cool1:

Heather, we should be docking in St Thomas. They have room for 3 big ships there. And there's only 3 of us there that day :goodvibes

I posted the ship names and info a few weeks ago on the BOB port links page :thumbsup2

You know I figured Walmart may have the best selection. It is the applique search that may drive me batty:upsidedow

So last night right before sleep,

Douglas: What's on the agenda for tomorrow?
Me: A fish extender
Douglas: A what?
Me: I'm making a fish extender
D: Do I want to know what that is?
Me: Guess.
D: Is it for Sean's school
Me: No
D: Hmmm...I'll be up all night with this one....
