We don't have state inspection, just emissions. It is supposed to be every other year, but my car is four years old and this is the first it has required the testing.

It used to be a windshield sticker, but we too just have the computer database now. (sounds like CA) If you don't get your car tested and passed, you cannot register it.

Seeing some messed up cars on the road, I often say to myself "we need a state inspection!"

Just got my car back from the smog (getting ready to sell it) It failed. Wanna know why? Check Engine Lightbulb is out. Took me two hours to get it out!

My Beautiful Truck! I really wondered if it would go back together right.

Hey California people.... is this anywhere near Travis Air Force Base? I lived there from the time I was 2 until I was 5 and since my geography wasn't all that great back then.... I just wondered it that was anywhere nearby ya'll.

I do remember that we went to church in Vacaville.

Travis AFB is in the Sacramento Area.

On our first cruise I did an open cabana massage on CC. It was nice except flies kept biting me. THe view was nice, the massage was nice, but the flies were horrible.

I wanted to do that the last cruise. My biggest concern was bug carcasses stuck to my oily body.

Just came back from June's house. She wanted to show me dresses she'd bought for the cruise. She's getting so excited!

She is quite a bit older than me. they have been there a long time. Bought the house when her DH was at Mather in the 70's. Rented it out for the few years they were gone and have been there ever since. We wanted to end up there but the Airforce sent us to Florida and we liked it so here we stayed.

How funny! I lived at Mather in the 70's. My father was in for 20 years and that is where we were when he retired.

At last I got it put back together and it passed smog. Whew. Now just a bit more cleanup work and it'll be ready for sale.

Vacaville is about an hour from us. Maybe a half hour from downtown Sac. Great outlet mall!

The book...that's what the big controversary was about.

A former fellow cruiser had one but said it was too hot and sweaty so this just confirms that I don't want to do the cabana one!

I get them on a regular basis, about every 6 weeks. Costs $65 for 1 hour. If I did it on the ship it would just be for the experience but you're right it's pricey there.

That's crazy Steve! Most exterior lighbulbs I change. I have never had to replace an interior bulb though. Props to you!

Some exterior bulbs are a hassle now too.

Yes, I noticed while detailing the truck that if I ever had to replace the headlamps, they would be a bummer. Fancy that. I've owned the Truck for 8 years and never changed the headlamp bulbs!

The last few times I have needed an exterior light out, the car was due for service, so I just had the dealer take care of it.

Well, if Ryan (my service guy) had told me how much work it was to do, I might have had Ford do it. But he told me 3 screws and the whole assy pops out. I went back to Ford for the $9 TINY bulb and told him that I got it out but his instructions we a bit, shall we say, LACKING! He says to me, "But you got it done, man, you figured it out, Kudos!" not the "Sorry I steered you wrong" thing that I was hoping for. The man should be selling the things rather than servicing them.
