There is no way I would try that. Who ever thought of it?:confused3

there's always something new...lol I think the bacon has to be really really crisp for it to work cause otherwise it would be like chocolate covered beef jerky...lol

I guess the key is to remember that chocolate (cocoa) was used in cooking before it was a sweet..lol like mole sauce and such..lol

I'm the opposite. I ate things when I was younger that I wouldn't touch now. I wish I wasn't this way but I just can't help it. Condiments make me quezy.:lmao::lmao:

wow really?.. ack.. my daughter lives on ketchup..lol I always had to laugh at my son tho.. he wouldnt touch anything for the longest time.. 2 years ago he went from not even touching ketchup to eating indian food..lol talk about a 360 on the eating scale..lol :lmao:

I agree with you. They took a page out of the old yankee playbook by signing older has been's. That didn't work for the Yankees and it won't work for the Sox. In trying to be very objective, I think they are in a downward spiral. They have weak hitting and weak pitching and now is not the time for that to happen.

The Yankees on the other hand are doing everythign right. They are hitting, they are pitching well and their bullpen is providing a great bridge to Mariano.

very well said Chris. My mother said it was a good game today even though they lost.

Hi Rose :wave2:

I've missed so much on here that I don't think I've had a chance to tell you officially, welcome to the BOB. Glad to hear that you are joining us :woohoo::yay:

i have not been on it that much this past week. Walt is downloading the pictures for facebook and by the time that is done I am too tired to read. I will try to catch up tonite. I missed the last 60 pages on the last board.

OK peoples...

I need a pick me up... I kinda feel in a rut with the cruise stuff.. I know I have stuff to do... but why can't I get myself motivated to get it done??

I should be soooo excited.. yet all I can think of is what I need to get done.. yet I have no clue where to start.. arg

maybe if all my family was around at the same time so we could actually talk about it  I sometimes feel like I am all alone planning stuff.. if it weren't for Cass I would have been in a corner in tears with everything that had to be done..sigh.. the woman is a saint! :worship: what do you get for a saint as a thank you gift btw?..lol

Hello everyone!! I've been reading this thread(s) off/on for months. Thanks for all the helpful info. This is our first time to be on the Disboards
before our cruise.

We are from Texas; Larry and Leona, Kaylee 18 and Hannah 11. Our first time at Disney was a land/sea combo 4 yrs ago on the Wonder. We were so in love with the cruise that we all said at the same time, "next time I want to skip the parks and go on a longer cruise!" So, 2 yrs later we did, taking a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise. This year, of course, we are on this Eastern cruise for a week but the closer it has gotten the more we all would like to re-visit the parks. So, we are trying to work it out to fly down a week early and go to the parks.

Jeff, I got your msg about adding us to the list but I can't seem to find it. I'm not the most computer literate person. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for everyone's helpful info on everything Disney!!! I still haven't read all the threads, but I'm trying!

Leona

Hi Leona,

Welcome! :welcome: I read the posts as often as I can, but I don't post very often! It's hard to keep up!

I'm Sheri, traveling with DH Pat, and our sons Dakota (17) and Austin (15). We are from Northern Nevada where it snowed this week! We've cruised twice before and started 4 years ago with the land/sea, too! We loved the cruise and have since done the Eastern in 2007.

Cass- Thanks for the breadcrumbs!

The cruise is coming up fast! I'm trying to get into the FE gift mode. I think I'm a bit 'gun shy'! Looking at all the creative and cool things other people have done and shown on the Dis thread, I'm in awe!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Hot August Nights is here in town and we stick close to home this week of the year!

Great pics MG! It looks like a fun day.

We did have a great time. :thumbsup2

Congrats MG on the weight loss! You are the woman.:yay::woohoo::banana::thumbsup2

Thanks dear. It was a fluke...I'm sure. :rotfl:

Chickie, I just said to Chuck the other day that if it wasn't for the DISboards I would have had no idea what to do before our first cruise. I'm sure I wouldn't have done an online check-in, played tag, bought an over the door shoe hanger, made door magnets or even met such great folks. Our first DISmeet was on the smaller side. Intimate, yet small. Very nice. I still talk to a couple of those folks on a regular basis. That's where I met Brenda and Jay. Hang around with us a little more and you'll get in the mood really quick.

As for Cass and getting her a gift, how about a winning lottery ticket? :yay: We must bring that up in our conversations once a week. :rotfl2:
Otherwise, knowing her, she'll just say that your friendship is enough for her. She's cool like that ya know.

Hi everyone. Love all the pics.

Good luck to all of you booking excursions tonight.:thumbsup2

One of the girls is in my troop and the other girl's mom is a troop leader. I have 17 girls in my troop so thank GOODNESS it's not all of them (but I think we are going back up there in the fall for Apple Picking....)

I peeled and sliced and froze almost 15 POUNDS of peaches, made a Peach Cobbler, and I'm TOO pooped to do ANYTHING!! I'll be HAPPY to send you a peach pie, Nancy! I'm not crazy about Peach Pie, but since I sell Pampered CHef, I have ALL the tools to make a fabulous one! :rotfl2:

:woohoo: Oohhh ... I LOVE Pampered Chef. Okay, and peach pie too but I'm now trying really hard to lose weight. I don't want to have to buy new clothes because the ones I got in January don't fit me. Cody and I ventured out to see how long it would take us if we walked to school. We discovered that it's 4km each way and it took us 45 minutes to get there. A good 1/3 of the way is down a curvey road with narrow shoulders, which meant that every time a car came we had to hit the ditch ... which slowed us down quite a bit. That and our poochie decided to go for a swim in the creek and we had to wait for her. I'm thinking that it isn't the greatest road for walking to school on. The other major factor would be the 4km walk back home with the last 1.5km being up a steep hill. I think that we'll have to continue to drive to school and I'll have to do my walk after dropping the kids off. I'm determined to lose weight but I'm thinking the 8km roundtrip walk to school won't be happening any time soon.
