We are not doing Palo dinner- don't want to spend that much for a meal, will do brunch but are skipping dinner this time. We are not foo foo eaters so the dining room is good for us, plus we like the conversations with our table mates.

Tom my said if Roger did not have to go to Palo's for dinner he was not going so we did not make reservations either.

Yes, i got behind the 8 ball on that one. The thread moved too fast for me!!! If I set up the next one, I will make sure all links are functioning and included. :thumbsup2

Chris you do a great job! I fell asleep during Knowing.

Hi everyone....just a drive by posting....

This weekend we will be going to a lake cabin for the weekend - I hope the weather's nice. We'll hopefully be doing some swimming and skiing/tubing. Then back home Sunday night and propping up my eyelids with toothpicks to do the bookings for my in-law's excursions and such. (No, I don't really trust them to do it themselves - it's much easier if I just book it! :lmao:)

I'm getting SO excited for the cruise - booking excursions makes it seem so close!

Angie, you didn't praise my detailed description on "strange".:rotfl2::rotfl2: Isn't that professional?:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Sorry, Lori - I just figured that your eloquent use of "strange" to sum up the movie spoke for itself on the utmost professionality of your movie critiquing!:happytv::happytv:

Joanne - Dave didn't want to do Palo for dinner... looked at the menu and agreed with you that it's a bit "foo foo" for our tastes. Looking forward to the brunch though - his exact words were "Crab legs for Breakfast??? Bring it on!!"

I haven't checked in over a week, but I thought there were a lot of excursions available too.

I'm wondering if people are booking less stuff and just using the money to get on the cruise given the economy. :confused3

Could be.

Hello, all,

Thanks to some personal issues, I have been away from this thread for a while. Due to the fact that a couple of truly serious situations have occurred we are opting to re-schedule this cruise for 2010 instead of 2009.

Oh my goodness Laurie. We totally understand and hope that things turn around now for the better. Lots of :hug::hug::hug: coming your way.

too funny, in May I wore my jeans three nights to dinner, we had early dining so the first night I had no luggage, then on pirate night and the last night since I was packing. No one said a word!!

Hello, all,

Thanks to some personal issues, I have been away from this thread for a while. Due to the fact that a couple of truly serious situations have occurred we are opting to re-schedule this cruise for 2010 instead of 2009.

The most schedule-chaos causing event may be the unpredictable but seemingly constant schedule changing of my DD, currently active duty/deployed with the USN (I take her young son when she deploys for any extended periods of time), the most serious issue(s) may be financial (unemployed and in a financial bind thanks in large part to the death of our DD) but the scariest is my DDIL was recently diagnosed with melanoma. She was diagnosed just a year and a week after the death of our DD (technically my step-, mentioned above) from this deadly disease, which certainly elevates the "scare factor" for us - as if the disease is not scary enough on its' own.

I am sorry for the late notice as I was slated to play the game as well. If it creates a problem of any sort, I would be happy to send on my trinkets to someone willing to deliver them.

I am also sorry that I will miss the experience of cruising with a group of lively, wonderful people I have come to "know" on these threads. I hope if the BOBers decide to cruise again the same time next year, you will consider adding me to the list of interested cruisers. I hope someone will continue to send me "breadcrumbs" so I can find the current thread so I can continue to visit when possible. I look forward to your trip reports and lovely pictures, and also hope you know I will be there "in spirit".

Thanks to everyone for the all the welcomes since I arrived, and a special thanks to those that reached out just that little bit further and sent me pm updates as I drifted from these threads.

Safe voyages to you~

Laurie

Laurie - blessings, prayers and hugs are being sent to you. I am so sorry for all the tumoil you are going through. Please let us know your DD's diagnosis as it goes on so we can keep up with her.

Angie

Invaluable...even for people who have cruised before.

Lady Heather - this link can NEVER been posted too much. With all the stuff I look at about the cruise, it's a good reminder that I need to look at this link again. We will have to post it every week or so as we get closer to the cruise!! :thumbsup2:cool1:
