Yay! Cute puppy pictures!
Hey, who's got the cast on their leg in the background?
That would be Alex. She fell on Saturday morning and broke her ankle.

Hello, all,
Thanks to some personal issues, I have been away from this thread for a while. Due to the fact that a couple of truly serious situations have occurred we are opting to re-schedule this cruise for 2010 instead of 2009.
The most schedule-chaos causing event may be the unpredictable but seemingly constant schedule changing of my DD, currently active duty/deployed with the USN (I take her young son when she deploys for any extended periods of time), the most serious issue(s) may be financial (unemployed and in a financial bind thanks in large part to the death of our DD) but the scariest is my DDIL was recently diagnosed with melanoma. She was diagnosed just a year and a week after the death of our DD (technically my step-, mentioned above) from this deadly disease, which certainly elevates the "scare factor" for us - as if the disease is not scary enough on its' own.
I am sorry for the late notice as I was slated to play the game as well. If it creates a problem of any sort, I would be happy to send on my trinkets to someone willing to deliver them.
I am also sorry that I will miss the experience of cruising with a group of lively, wonderful people I have come to "know" on these threads. I hope if the BOBers decide to cruise again the same time next year, you will consider adding me to the list of interested cruisers. I hope someone will continue to send me "breadcrumbs" so I can find the current thread so I can continue to visit when possible. I look forward to your trip reports and lovely pictures, and also hope you know I will be there "in spirit".
Thanks to everyone for the all the welcomes since I arrived, and a special thanks to those that reached out just that little bit further and sent me pm updates as I drifted from these threads.
Safe voyages to you~

Good morning everyone. I had a nightmare about forgetting my passport last night. My father was taking us to the airport and I had also forgotten to pack my medication. He refused to turn around and told me I could pick up a passport 'at the market'
Huh??
They realy do not even have to ahve sound because I think between all of us we can recit the whole movie.
I may have to go to MNSSHP as a pink bunny![]()
Okay, a few pictures from tonight.
First up, Elaine being silly with a soldier. He insisted she wear the helmet. I think she is ready for battle. What do you all think??
![]()
Next up is Jay on a police motorcycle...

And finally, Elaine just had to get on the motorcycle as well. Lately she has really been wanting to ride motorcycles. She has begged one of our neighbors to go on his, but hasn't been able to yet.

AAaaargh!!! Don't let Megan and Sarah see these!!!!
They are ADORABLE! But they will start the whole "Can we get a puppy? Pleeeeeeeeeze!! all over again!!!
We have 2 cats, 2 parents working odd shifts, and 2 young girls who don't even remember to give the cats their breakfast every morning. So how in the world could we EVER take care of a puppy!!!![]()
LOL Beth!!!Abby just said to me "I haven't been on the DISboards in a few weeks... I need to go and check in" and I immediately thought - oh NO!!! Please don't let her see these pictures!!
I'd love to meet up, but I have a couple of things going that day...Sounds like fun!
Good morning everyone! Well, Emily got to Monterey just fine, Derek left early this morning to go to Ocean City, MD with our neighbors until Friday night, and Rob leaves tonight for one night somewhere in MD for an early meeting tomorrow morning. Looks like my youngest and I are going it alone tonight--not a bad deal for me!

OMG i might get my first googley
Schucks...missed it again
Maybe I will be part of the club be for we cruise...
I will mix up stuff on the menu. Take a couple smaller portions of two different mains, a starch from another, and a veggie from a fourth. I know I'm a pain, but I don't always like what they have put together.
I never have a problem finding anything on the menu though.
Hey all, guess we have to pull the pin on this cruise date. We are having too many "issues" with my Father and no one in the area that can take over when we are away. I realize we are still 3 months away, but it is better to accpet the inevitable (SP) now then a few days before the ship sails. We are cruising again in Feb, so we may just move this booking, as it is paid in full, to make it a back to back.
Good luck, have fun and have a fruity one in my honor!!!!![]()
I feel ya--the end of the month is our bust time too and it never fails that they schedule all upgrades, meetings, etc the last week. Plus, I can't dis from work either. Got to love our jobs![]()
Lisa, haven't seen Chris on here lately, how is Melissa doing?
While I'm thinking about this, I wanted to say to all the Bobers: If you see Rob and I on the ship or on excursions, please say hello even if we don't say hello first. We are such a large group that I know I won't remember names/faces and I surely don't want to seem rude. On KK1, I think it was Janice who spoke to me one day and I couldn't remember her name; I was so embarrassed and just pretended to know who she was. I am vowing not to do that this time around, so please excuse me if I have to ask your name more than once. I would love to blame my bad memory on the brain surgery I had last year, but alas, I am just forgetful.
As a side note and kind of ironic, Janice and her awesome family, as well as Rose and June, are our tablemates this time around, and I am so glad.
Maybe we need more BOBers to send pics of themselves to Cass.
Wow are you all a lively group! It's going to take me several weeks to catch up on all these notes!
Our family just booked for this cruise and we'd like to get connected:
Russell, Alysoun (me), DD (7), DS (4)
Please let me know the best approach.....
Thanks! Can't wait!

Our family of four will be on the Oct 24 Magic for our 3rd Disney cruise and we are very excited. My daughters (8 & 13) are interested in finding others girls their age before and during the trip. We ususally travel with another family, but they couldn't come this trip. This leaves the girls to entertain each other....which usually ends up in fighting! So, are there any girls entering the 3rd or 8th grades that will be on this trip?
Another question - does anyone know how much a taxi would cost from the cruise ship to Coral World/Coki Beach on St. Thomas?
Thanks!

Hi everyone! Just found this site. We are on this cruise and had a Cat. 5 GTY. They just posted our room number today. Did anyone else get theirs?
My DH & I will also be on this cruise. It was planned as a 40th bd celebration for DS but he and wife bowed out due to loss of job. Now it's just us and we're so excited to be a part of the party!
I have made my appearance again. Melissa is doing better. She was back in the emergency room two weeks ago, with same symptoms, dizziness and trouble breathing. The stupid emergency room doc said nothing was wrong, and we had to follow up with primary care doctor. We explained to the nurse and doctor that she was unable to keep anything down, including her prescriptions, and I asked if they thought she might be dehydrated. They all said not, that vomitting is not a sign of dehydration. Being very upset with the results, we went to the walk in clinic, where she was given three bags of iv fluid. We also found out that three of the five medications, were doing nothing for her, and unknown why they were prescribed to her. The scary part is we still do not know what is causing the mystery illness.
