Since this is supposed to debut in October, and we are the last cruise of October, we should see it, right?

Cruise question--when do they start handing out upgrades? 30 days out?

Yes, you can expect to see upgrades at about 30 days out. Usually, when we start to get close, Jeff will start to poll all of the staterooms (I'm not sure how he does it) to see what the possibility of upgrades are. I've been watching the DCL website lately and here's what I have found:

at 95 days out there are a lot of rooms avail in cats 8 thru 11 (good news for those of you who booked cat 11 and 12's) Cat 7 only has GTY availiability for families of 3 or less. Cat's 5 and 6 are currently selling GTY only. From what I have learned... if a CAT is selling GTY only then it is usually about 90% sold out. Not such good news for those of us who have purchased cat's 8 and 9. The only silver lining seems to be that Cat 4 has lots of rooms avail.

My analysis (for what it is worth) is that those Cat 4's will be hard to fill ($1760 increase in fare from cat 5 to cat 4) as a result those in cat 5 and 6 can expect to get lucky with upgrades. This will open rooms in those cats causing a small number of upgrades for those in cats 8 to 9. So my guess is that some of us in this range will get lucky but not all. But opening up more cabins in cats 8 and 9 which have yet to sell out will cause plenty of upgrades for those in interior cabins.

Pack 2 days and wash on fourth day. Bring shorts and t-shirt to wear while washing, dress for afternoon drinks in the hotel or a swim in the pool. (bathing suits are packed as well)...

Just got off the treadmill...the cruise is getting awful close and I have waaaaay too much to lose.

It took us all day to get through it and we missed the white tigers. Mike realized that when we were leaving. By then it was almost 6:00 and they were closing.

Cassie posted some great pics on facebook. There are some good ones of addison riding the merry go round. She just couldn't stop giggling. It was hilarious.

Mike really appreciates that porthole because I have a tendency to get up at the crack of dawn and want to see outside.

So I get him up to go watch the sun rise or just see what the weather is like. If I have a porthole, I can often watch from there.

Yes MIcKEy... 5 women in one hotel room and we did have pillows... of course we were very tired, so we only used the pillows to sleep!

That was just wrong!! That was Brady's bottle and he was teasing her because she was grumpy. Mean ole Papa.
