It took us all day to get through it and we missed the white tigers. Mike realized that when we were leaving. By then it was almost 6:00 and they were closing.

Bummer, as us children of the sixties would say...:lmao:

FWIW, my DGD is into the Peace scene like the hippie sixties....Wearing clothes, headbands, etc...;) :confused3

Walt

WOw, I was off base, but I am old so it is acceptable :lmao:

Congrats on the Googley...Didn't even know the count was going on...:thumbsup2

Walt :cool1:

Geez, I didn't even notice.

I think Mike's are breeding...I know he doesn't have that many. You guys better keep an eye on him. :lmao::lmao:

Busy again tonight. Everyone must be getting ready to book their excursions....

Mike & I haven't decided if we are doing excursions or not. I loved the Golden Eagle Catamaran. We did it with Walt & Di in 2005, but it really got pricey. We're not sure what we're doing?

Well, Im off to watch BB. Later. :)

I am surfing from bed in my nicely air conditioned room :cool1:

What is up with this heat??? :scared:

Where did everyone go???? :confused3

Ok, off to watch BB while I work out

Laura and I talked about excursions today. We think that we'll still do trunk bay but on St. Maarten we were going to do a tour that I'm not sure that we'll do that now. I've got to look into on-your-own things to do. I want to cut down expenses somewhere. I'm having a bit of difficulty saving up enough money right now. I'm replacing Laura's vehicle with a more fuel efficient one but that carries expenses of it's own.

Had a BLAST in Chicago!!! The night before we went, I called Amtrak and upgraded to a Family Sleeper car and had SUCH a relaxing trip (highly recommend it!)

Got to Chi-town late on Thursday morning, went to lots of good workshops and the general session and we found out what all the new fall products were going to be. They presented it in a play format - a la Snow White - except it was called "Snow Lisa and the 7 Elves" - really cute!!

Thurs night - went to Edwardos for authentic deep dish pizza. YUMMY!

Friday - I played hookey and didn't go to ANY workshops. I walked around Chicago, went shopping (saw the American Girl store and the DISNEY store!!) Went up into the Sears Tower (waited in line for 2 hours, but TOTALLY worth it!!) Then walked by their theater downtown to see if they had any cheap seats to Jersey Boys - they had ONE left for $25 - and I TOOK it!! Saw that show and it was good (not great, but good)

Saturday - was a good girl and went to all my stuff. They had drawings throughout the days and with over 3000 people there, they only drew for about 30 prizes overall (mostly $100 in Pampered Chef products). The last drawing was for a laptop. They gave away 3 of them. Guess who won one of them???:banana::banana: ME!! (So if anyone plays Bingo on the cruise - sit next to me.... I win ALOT of stuff....)

Went to the WhiteSox game and had to leave before it was over to catch train home. LOTS of fun!!! Hot dog was YUMMY!!! (Had orange soda since I don't drink beer.... :sad2:)

Came home on the train - I upgraded again to a small little roomette since I had to work on Monday and it was worth EVERY penny!!! Slept like a log and got home late Sunday night.

Whew - quick report and I posted some pictures on Facebook... will try to post some more here once I download them into Photobucket.

Have a great rest of the day!!:cheer2:

Great trip report. Very nice job. Really enjoyed. Boy you are lucky you won the laptop. You go girl!!!!!!

Here are a couple of pictures from my trip....

On our way to the train (still refreshed!!)

Walt & Di, you guys must have good backs :goodvibes I would die if I had to ride that for more than an hour :faint:

I will live vicariously through you guys, sounds like a great way to travel :thumbsup2

I'm with Becky though, Canadians know how to pack ;)

Believe me I am a heavy packer but I have had to learn to cut back. Usually when I go to my mothers I have to buy a duffle bag to get everything home. Really lately I just pack a duffle bag in my suitcase. I hope I can pack lite for the cruise. I will have enough practice. You have to wear alot of the same clothes and I might not want to on the cruise. Remember they are clean since I wash every two days at the hotels. Just the same clothes. Yes we are living the dream of a biker. We have a great time. :woohoo::woohoo::cheer2::cheer2:
:cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo:
