Hey all! Quick note because its super late (Hi Karen and Heather!!)

Had an AWESOME day today!!! I skipped all my conference stuff today and decided to explore Chicago! :cool1: Sooooo much fun! I will do a mini-trip report later when I get home, but I wanted to share a couple of pictures of my visit to the SKYDECK (at the Sears tower - now called the Willis tower).

I stood out on the "ledge" - a 4 foot by 6 foot deck that is made out of clear glass (or something like that). It is SOOOOOO freaky and cool!! There are 103 floors up....

Here are a couple of pictures:
Fatty Fatty Fat me.... (WW starts when I get home)

Going to bed now - it's 12:30 am Chi-town time. We are going to the White Sox game tomorrow afternoon and then back to the train to head home.

Oldest WWI veteran dies aged 113

A Brighton care home announces the death of Henry Allingham, the world's oldest man and one of the last surviving WWI veterans.

A very sad day today for a lost generation mostly forgotten, but for me a generation made up of real people who were proud to be British...:snooty:

Morning Mike, goodbye mike,Live Footie is back thank god....:)

Yup, it's 4:50 am and MG is up already too. Actually, I've been up since midnight.

Two kids off to Arizona (:sad1:) and the other two are on the early flight to Vegas for 9 days.:woohoo:

Time to get those sleepy heads up and off to the airport.

A "Stoooopid o'clock" FO for me first? :confused3

Angie, you are one gutsy lady. I don't think I could get myself to stand out there long enough for one picture and you did several?? :worship:

(Morning, Schnoogums )

Happy Saturday everyone

Sorry Heather, I think you're mistaken, that was OUR porthole!:

thanks for all the :grouphug::grouphug:

Excellent news:thumbsup2

:confused3 How do I tell?
I'm over it now. I went and prepared dinner instead... chicken breast with peas and sweetcorn, peppers and onions and cous cous and crisped up torillas:angel:

You should get a warning when you try to save the changes. Dinner sounded yummy.

Those great porthole piccies have given me an idea:idea:

I'm going to get Ellis in there facing the glass, doing a diving pose:lmao:.... it'll look like he's diving out the window:lmao:

We should have a competition! - who can get the funniest porthole picture:yay::thumbsup2

That's a good idea. I'll have to get my thinking cap on.

I'm off peeps, have a good evening:thumbsup2

Gotta get sorted for Ellis' karate class tomorrow.

Neil has managed to get some overtime for tomorrow:woohoo:

That should help nicely!

I also got 7 weeks wages today too:yay: - they pay us a retainer for over the summer holidays:woohoo:... I feel a shopping trip coming on:rolleyes1

What you gonna buy? I'm thinking of treating myself to a Pandora Bracelet as I lost my silver bracelet in May. http://www.johngreeddesign.co.uk/in...&s_best_seller=&s_ring_size=&Formitems_Page=&

So, In other news........

People renting their cars to drive down to Radisson, you are all keeping them and dropping them off in the morning before we take the shuttle?

How early does the shuttle leave? I'm hoping there is enough time to do this?

We're dropping ours off on the Saturday, Rose. Rick will drop me off at the terminal and then take the car back to the car rental people.
