Here is our rainy arrival at WDW. We drove down from Virginia.

I love to eat at Steak-n-Shake. So we made our obligatory stop. Our kids are on the left and our friends' kids are on the right.

First monorail siting!

We were on the monorail at the Magic Kingdom a few hours before the crash. RIP to the 21 year old monorail pilot. :sad1:

Wow, all 4 girls are blond haired beauties!:cutie:

Poor young monorail guy.:sad2:
I heard on the Dis unplugged podcast how he'd wanted to work for Disney for so long and then got so excited when he recently got hired for that job.:sad2:

Anyone getting picture overload yet?

Matthew
Never, ever!

:thumbsup2

We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary on July 1st. I bought these bride and groom ears as a surprise. We wore them over to the Grand Floridian that evening. We spent our honeymoon there in 1989. The Figment plush in the picture was bought on our honeymoon. It has gone on most of our Disney trips over the years.

Sweet!:thumbsup2

Congratulations on 20 years!:cloud9::hug:

Well, yesterday's "good-bye" picnic went well. Not too many tears which is exactly how Kristin and Jesse wanted it. It will be tough on us to see them leave but I can only imagine how hard it will be on Kristin. She is leaving everyone behind. Jesse has family down there already.

We did music cd's for them with our favorite songs on it. It'll keep them company on the 35 hour drive down there.

I'm still tossing around the idea of driving down with them though. I'm just afraid that the ride down will make leaving even tougher on us both.

I asked my mom once: "When do you stop worrying about your kids"? She said: "Never". Boy was she ever right!:guilty:

It'll be a sad day in the cntkg1 household on Thursday. :sad1:

It is really tough when your kids move away. Erika left for college and never came back home to live. She does only live 5.5 hours away and she can fly home when she wants. I usually see her every couple months. We talk many times throughout the day. We both have Sprint phones. She calls me all the way to work and home. Sometimes during her work time.. When she doesn.t call I get nervous since I have been so spoiled. Nancy Kristin will be okay. She is a good kid who comes from a great mother and dad. Jesse will take care of her just like you did. Oh yeh, your mother is right you never stopping worrying about your kids. I worry and think about both my girls every day.

Uh - no such THING as Disney Picture overload!!

Abby (11 yo DD) will be so excited to see what Megan looks like - they have been emailing a little bit back and forth. I hope we can have a DIS meet up in Northern VA before school starts (we need to go to the Leesburg outlets....)

Absolutely, on the DISmeet. The girls will be gone from August 2nd through the 25th though. They are going to their grandparents in Las Vegas for three weeks. Either sometime before the end of July or at the very end of August would be good. August 29th is a Saturday.

Maybe Lori's daughter Alex could come as well. :)

Yes, three pretty princesses. An no never get a picture overload when it comes down to Disney World pictures.

:woohoo::woohoo:
save some for us next month ok??:rolleyes1

I did! I promise!

Yep it worked. I got my Palo ressies and my excursions. In St Maarten, we are doing Under the Two Flags Tour and in St. John we are doing the Mini Boat Adventure.

Heather--the mini boat excursion is scheduled for 7:30 am - noon. Just FYI for your planning.

I am a happy camper now. Sherri, thanks again for your help. I was getting all worked up for nothing.:scared:

I'm glad it worked out for you. I admit, I started to get a little worked up right at the start, too! For some reason I tried the log out thing and ta da! :wizard: We did Palo as well and then only booked the Doubloon excursion in St. Thomas. We'll find something in St. Marten, we just don't know what yet. I was planning on zip-lining at the Lotterie farm, but they have now decided it is only for people staying on the island. :headache: Bummer.

Enjoy Sunday afternoon, everyone!

I remember Beth told me that the girls were going to their grandparents house for most of August. My girls are in Florida at THEIR grandparents for 3 weeks right now. August 29th would be GREAT!! We'll put that on our calendar right now and we can work on the details later! Can't WAIT!!! Would love to meet Lori and her family too!

Awww, sweet. Congrats on 20 years.

Ellis had his first tennis lesson this afternoon - he had fun!:goodvibes

We might enrol him in a weeks summer camp late August if we have enough £££

Great pictures Matthew! Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

Well I am finally home for the day. I have to do a few small things in preparation for my parents arrival. Nothing major, just sweep and mop the kitchen floor and pick up some toys that Jay got out. That kid and his toys!!!

Great pics Matthew and Beth. More plz. :thumbsup2

The girls and I talked about shore excursions last night. Beth was at work on the night shift. Here's what we are thinking about.

St. Maarten

Anguilla Dolphin Encounter OR
Golden Eagle Catamaran

St. Thomas / St. John

Magens Bay Beach Break

Castaway Cay

Banana Boat Ride & Mountain Bikes to tour the island

The girls asked about parasailing again, but I would like to do something different. Besides, last time was so great, I wouldn't want to spoil it. It seemed like we were up longer than most and got dipped in the water three times! :woohoo:

PAIGE - Do you have access to the prices? We can't see them yet.

Matthew

There are not any bannana boats at cc any more!!!

We did the golden eagle in 2004, was fun!!

I have 2 big scars.... one up to my belly button(from female surgery and then childbirth) and another one along my right shoulder blade(from lung surgery).

Do guys dig girls with scars?

For my Beer Drinking Friends,

Had a Boddingtons Draft Ale with Bangers and Mash (Grilled (3) British sage sausages with whipped potatoes, onion gravy and spicy mustard) for lunch on Friday with my Harley Friends. The beer was an excellent Ale. :thumbsup2
