This is inside of the train. The windows behind us were giant flatscreens and they were animated with snow falling and everything.

is it along the lines of polar express type of movie? he plays everyone?

Jim Carrey plays Scrooge and most of the ghosts. There are other actors for the other parts.

I'lll be right back Laura is calling me to dinner!

wow the kids are getting big.:thumbsup2 cant believe its been nearly 2 years since kk1. i'm thinking everyone will say, "boy Robin looks the same,:cutie: but Mike looks really bad.:sad2:"

ooh. an 1100 mile trip in a minivan. the family truckster.:woohoo:
i'm thinking of the movie Vacation.:thumbsup2

we had an 87 astro van for years. took lots of trips to Fl in our family truckster.(good times)
This will be our longest familly road trip to date. Every time we have gone to florida, we have flown since the kids were born. It's been 8 years since I have driven down.

Getting to Florida isn't bad, but coming home stinks! It seems so much longer coming north.

The Movie itself is a MUCH more advanced movie in the same style of the Polar Express. The Faces are incredible. At one point I had to remind myself that it was animated. Scrooges Nephew's face was spot on to what a real face should look like and move like! Scrooge's face was more pronounced though and did remind you of the animation in only that no face could possibly have that shape. Otherwise, it too, was startlingly realistic.

so i'm assuming this movie will be released this holiday. this train idea is to create a buzz? or no?

I'm thinking we're probably going on a long road trip next year. We may get as far as South Dakota.

I did! She is really looking forward to seeing you two again.

Thats funny!

Yeah, being on the left coast really has it's drawbacks when being online!

Yeah, I think that they are doing an excellent Job. I can't wait to see the movie.

It will start Nov 6th. So we'll miss it's Prem "ear" on board by just a week.

Anyone remember when the implemented that charge? Was it before we booked this one in early December 2007? :confused3

Jeff, I booked in January 2008 and we didn't have to pay the fuel surcharge, so it was just after that when I think they started it.

Hey guys! I'm here - just catching up. Went to see NIght at Museum 2 tonight - laugh out loud silly funny. :lmao: Dave's dad and mom came too and it was nice to see him get out. He's lost alot of weight since the surgery and he's looking so discouraged. Hopefully he'll turn the corner soon.

Onto happier news - brother made it to Iraq (think I already posted that - can't remember). His wife and her mom just opened a restaurant in their home town on Monday. They named it "Papa Sean's Cafe" (Brother's name is Sean and his wife is preggo w/twins... ) Doing GREAT business and the local news is going to come and do a segment on them. Really excited for them. (If you are ever in Cabot, Arkansas - go check them out!)

Well - surfing some more and then off to bed.

Some pixiedust: for Dave's dad and great news about the restaurant :thumbsup2

So, you guys have anything big planned for Fathers' Day?

I'll be working in the yard. :sad2:

You are doing yardwork on Father's Day  Poor Jeff  We are thinking of going to Heritage Park after Rob wakes up on Sunday, he has a really long day tomorrow. :guilty:

Another pic of the kids in line

LOL, doesn't look like Leah is enjoying herself :lmao::rotfl2:

3 hours in a Boeing sure beats 2 days in a Toyota!

I drove down to WDW when I was 21, it took just over 55 hours!!! :faint: I will never do that again!!! :sad2: It's amazing what you will do when you are young (and stupid!) :rolleyes1:lmao:

i hear that.:thumbsup2

we always did the math when the kids were growing up. we could fly to FL and spend 1 week. or drive and spend 2 weeks. so we drove every summer and spent 2 weeks.:woohoo::wizard:
we lived for those 2 weeks.:wizard::grouphug:

Well, I am off to bed. Feelign my bed call to me, or rather my achy body! Goodnight everyone!
