10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread 24

June has never cruised before and has just been to Disney World for the first time ever at Easter time, with her husband and 17 year old son.

She loved it! She is very excited to come!
(well and she got a great deal since I've already paid for most everything)

She probably won't be on the boards though, she doesn't do much computer stuff.

First Farrah Fawcett and now MJ, what a day!

Farrah Fawcett was a lady....the other a nonce,sorry but thats what he was,glass of Jesus juice anyone?.....

I had all my 19 points today, but I did have to go into school for an extra hour today to do "parents week activities" so I did 45 minutes of dancing.

Me no likey

Good for you...thats gotta be worth extra points.

I don't like the new look either.

Alex and I are not coming on the cruise with you

So, sadly I have to confess because the game is over.

I had planned this and was having the best time with this.
We were even going to have (while everyone was wearing their I'm with BOB shirts) Bob wear a shirt that said "I AM BOB!"

So the sad news is that Bob's daughter is coming to visit from Germany this summer, well, that's not sad exactly, it's great news!
She hasn't been here to visit her father since 2006.

(and he went to visit her right before our last KK cruise).


He had told me that this could happen. And if so then he would not be able to cruise.

So that is the sad news.

Bob needs to save all his vacation time to spend with his daughter.
So he has no extra time to go on the cruise.

I really still want to go with you guys so I asked a girlfriend that I've known since high school to come along.

Her name is June.

So, I am coming on the cruise

That's both fantastic news and sad news You red headed minx you!!!

So, I am so happy to be going with you guys!

It won't be as much fun though without Bob, and I'm actually quite sad about it right now.
No romantic beaches together (he had wanted to do the nude beach !)

Palo dinner won't be the same

But I'm glad that I'm still going with you guys and glad that I am able to treat an old friend (who is super excited!) to such a wonderful vacation!

But bear with my little bouts of sadness, ok?

What a great day. We started the day by walking to the falls. Enjoyed again. They look different and beautiful every time I look at them. Then we went to behind the falls tour. Wow It was great. I really enjoyed. Then we went on bike ride. We did not bring any rain gear. Oh my goodness, we got soaked. We stopped at a golf club and ate lunch while it poured, thundered, and lightning. Once the lightning stopped we left and drove straight back to hotel. Boy was I cold and wet. That was the first time we have ever got wet. We always bring our rain gear every where we go. We got back to hotel and I washed clothes. I needed to get our wet clothes washed. Once I was finished we went for another ride along the Niagara River. It was beautiful. It looked like it was going to rain again so we went back to hotel. We walked to Clifton Hill for supper and it poured while we ate. We went by the falls on our way back to the hotel. Now I am reading the dis, need to write a few notes, Walt is resting and I need to make a few phone calls. We will be leaving tomorrow for Robin and Mike's house. We are so excited. Hope the weather holds out for us. Rose you sure had all of us going. Talk to you all tomorrow. Have a good night sleep. Diane

I was going to get a photo of you and Bob blown up to life size head shots, print them off and when we do our group photo, hold you up and place you in the group somewhere, to see if anyone "spotted Bob"

We could still do this with just a pic of Bob

I'm switching between the NBA draft and the Travel Channel Angie. Watching the draft has been a tradition in our house for many years and I just love it!

Ours too. Two of U of L players went in the first round. I am so happy for both of them.

We so wanted to say something, and Mackenzie thought is was the best surprise ever.

Yep, I was real bummed about FF. Like most adolescents of the time I had that famous poster. A peice of my childhood died yesterday.

As far as MJ goes... I'm with AFEG.

I dont have an exercise thingy yet to help me work out how many points I'm earning for exercise - apparantly I get that on week 3

All I know is that my pedometer gives me half a point when I reach about 6000 steps each day.

Well, its absolutely bucketing it down over here today... thunderstorms due any time soon. Sky is black and the rain is bouncing off the roads.... Good old English summer?
