Good morning everyone!

Today Elaine left to go teach at Camp for a week. My kids go out there tomorrow as campers for a week, so I will be flying solo at home until next Wednesday night. I plan to watch a lot of baseball, a lot of movies and just relax! The toilet seat will stay up, and without the kids, the house will stay really clean!!!!

I will miss them of course though. A quiet house gets too quiet after a day or so. My dog goes into extra protective mode and barks at everything when the rest of the family is gone.

As far as food goes, I have plenty of pepsi, plenty of burgers, hot dogs and chicken breasts, so I will be in good shape as far as that goes. I may splurge one night and buy myself a steak.

My last night home though, I am going to New York for a Yankee game. It wasn't part of my plan, but I wanted to buy tickets when the family was gone so I picked them up. Aerosmith and ZZ top is also coming to the casino a few miles away on Sunday night, but tickets started at $125 each and I have a cruise to pay for in a couple of weeks, so that is out as well.

First Farrah Fawcett and now MJ, what a day!

I had been talking to Matthew on the phone while I was logged on to comcast and saw the news about Farrah. (Told him I'm sure my brother will be devastated - he had the famous poster!) Matthew said he had a breaking news flash to his phone (new iPhone!!) about her death. A very short time later he called me back and said "Michael Jackson died." Up to the minute info on that phone of his!

Over the years I have noted the many "older" celebrity deaths -- you know, people that were already "old" when we were kids But, MJ was not that much older. I remember playing his record loud in my room with my friend just to annoy my brother. (You know, 2 kids, same house, different music taste!)

Anyway, I logged on here awhile ago thinking there might be some discussion. But, no one was on and no comments yet.

I heard that late this afternoon. I knew about Farrah Fawcett earlier today.

What a great day. We started the day by walking to the falls. Enjoyed again. They look different and beautiful every time I look at them. Then we went to behind the falls tour. Wow It was great. I really enjoyed. Then we went on bike ride. We did not bring any rain gear. Oh my goodness, we got soaked. We stopped at a golf club and ate lunch while it poured, thundered, and lightning. Once the lightning stopped we left and drove straight back to hotel. Boy was I cold and wet. That was the first time we have ever got wet. We always bring our rain gear every where we go. We got back to hotel and I washed clothes. I needed to get our wet clothes washed. Once I was finished we went for another ride along the Niagara River. It was beautiful. It looked like it was going to rain again so we went back to hotel. We walked to Clifton Hill for supper and it poured while we ate. We went by the falls on our way back to the hotel. Now I am reading the dis, need to write a few notes, Walt is resting and I need to make a few phone calls. We will be leaving tomorrow for Robin and Mike's house. We are so excited. Hope the weather holds out for us. Rose you sure had all of us going. Talk to you all tomorrow. Have a good night sleep. Diane

Well, tomorrow is a big day for my little brother (the one in Iraq)... his wife finds out (hopefully) what the sex of their twin babies are!!! I am so excited because these will be my first neice/nephews (by blood)

I am so excited!! He is going to try to call from Iraq when she is getting the Ultrasound so he can hear at the same time (don't know HOW they are going to coordinate that!)
