10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread 24

I just can't seem to keep up with this thread. :( But I really want to keep up with what everyone is looking at for meet ups, excursions, etc. now that we are getting closer to being able to book. Is there any chance we could start another thread that is just for that stuff? And keep this one for where we can post all of our general fun stuff and getting-to-know you stuff? Or am I the only one who is too slow to keep up with all of the posts? LOL!

Ask any questions....someone will know the answer, and as we get near the 90 day mark, you'll be wishing for non-cruise related reply!:rotfl2: Perhaps we could use the title bar from now on for cruise-related questions and topics. How about that everyone???

BTW - You're details don't seem to be on the first page. Send Jeff a PM and he'll add on your details.

Happy Monday everyone

That sounds fun, but looking on Amazon, I don't think it's one of those internet wii games. Mario Cart was fun yesterday. Rick 'hogged' the controller all evening. My turn next time! We could have a US vs UK battle!:rotfl2:
We tried to get Mario Cart at Christmas and in the weeks following, but it was sold out everywhere. Perhaps, I should try looking again...:thumbsup2

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day! :)

We were a little busy soaking up a VERY wet basement this weekend. We had storms on Thursday night and again Friday night. Saturday afternoon we started seeing all sorts of problems in the basement. It smells like old socks as soon as you walk in the back door.:scared1::scared1::scared1:

More storms predicted for today too.:eek::eek: I think we'll be fussing with that basement tonight too.

Hope our guests don't mind the smell of an outhouse for a few days. :scared1:

Oh no!! Sorry about the flooding - keep my fingers crossed for no more storms today! :goodvibes

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well wherever you happen to be. I will be running around a bit today, but its all good. It will keep me entertained. I got a new album on my iPod that is great. It is the Original Broadway recording for the Musical, Rock of Ages. It is basically a musical with a story written around key rock songs of the 1980s. The finale is "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey song by the stars and company. It is a great recording that I have been listening too. It should keep me entertained while I drive from place to place today.

Agreed....That made our New England DIS meet all the better. It was weird "meeting" people you already kind of know, but it was a good weird. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl:

Chris - I just downloaded that album last week - it's really good!!! I'm an 80s music geek (high school class of 1991) and it's got all the music from that era. Saw a clip of the show on the Tony awards and wanted to get the music for it. :cool1:

Good morning BoBers!! Just got here at work and hope to FINALLY be busy today (I've been at job for 6 months and not had a lot to do...)

Sticking on WW good - going into the new week and I'm still on it (cheated a bit over the weekend, but got right back on the horse)

Have a fun day all!

Good morning! Thanks for all the pixie dust for Meg.:wizard: She is young and will handle everything well.

Maybe we could talk Joanne into walking a little later this year. The wedding is in 20 days and I can not wait.

We did nothing yesterday. Tommy took his annual US open nap. :rotfl2: The kids made dinner which was very nice. Since they cooked I cleaned up. I thought it was a great deal. :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful Monday!

HS Class of 1992 here. I grew up listening to all of those songs. Great stuff! I am going to try to get to New York to see the show in the not so distant future.

Good...morning, everyone (it's 2:32am here...insomnia kicking in again)...hope everyone had a nice Father's Day!

We didn't do much today, which was exactly the way DH liked it (he even got to take a nap!). I felt like such a heel of a wife today because it's been nutty here with so many things going on and I didn't get to plan a nice dinner (not that I'm a great cook) - and DH was not looking forward to dealing with crowds at the restaurants and it was getting too late for me to cook, so guess what we had for dinner...we did the McDonald's drive thru, and ate it home! UGH...:sad2:, I felt so terrible but he insisted...we don't usually eat that stuff so I caved...tomorrow, I am cooking a nice belated Father's Day dinner for DH. :guilty:

That's my vent for tonight...I hope everyone else had a nice Father's Day and no McDonalds involved...:rolleyes1

Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Hi Queenie, I wouldn't worry too much about the Mickey D's dinner, I'm sure you will make it up to him tonight ;)

Make sure you take a big a big empty bag for stashing Jeff's leaves in:lmao:

That idea was blown to bits when Chris offered to hide out in the trees with his big gun and blow away any thieves.

As long as you're in the outhouse too, then it's all good :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Good for you Angie, the important part is to get right back on :thumbsup2

Poor Nancy, you've had more than your share of wet basements in your lifetime haven't you?

You are not the only slow one! I'm here with you! I read when I can and am always amazed at how many posts and threads there are! I'd love to be part of a FE or tag gift exchange, but I just cannot keep up!:sad2:

I hope one of you regulars  will add me to the list of the gift exchange and maybe send me the link to how, when, and who! Thank you!!

4 months from today is when we fly out!

:hug:Hugs for Megan.

Wow and the wedding is so close! How are those plans coming along? Is the soon to be daughter in law including you in any of the planning? Are things going ok with your son?

Sheri, send a message to Cass (Timon) to be added to the site for Tag, and also send a message to Karen (Karenmouse) to let her know that you want to play.

As long as you're in the outhouse too, then it's all good :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Awwww, thanks Cass. But you may change your mind and book an earlier flight back home.

We used a citrus rug cleaner but now it just smells like someone threw oranges in the outhouse!!:scared1:

It's a gift, what can I say? :lmao:

Yikes, hope the weather lets up for you guys.

I love thunderstorms but lately, I'm rethinking that. :rolleyes1

Oh no!! Sorry about the flooding - keep my fingers crossed for no more storms today! :goodvibes

Thanks Angie. This isn't the worst though. This is just a trickle running in from behind a wall. Why it smells so much, I don't know. We don't have sewers in our neighborhood. We did have over 5 feet of raw sewage in our basement once at our old house. :scared1::scared1::scared1:GROSS!!!!!

I'm Sorry :rolleyes1 REally - I just logged on tonight and saw that the posts were at 1099.... really didn't MEAN to take it...:confused3. I'll leave it alone for now.

Don't beleive I've met you - I'm Angie - new Bober - wasn't on the last cruise. THis is our first cruise (ever) - after 15 years of irritating DH to go on one - he FINALLY relented!! LOL (Happy wife = happy life!!):lmao:

Sorry - right after posting 1099 I got the dreaded spinning on this thread - it was soooo slow to load! I finally posted a couple more times but finally gave up as it just wouldn't load. Anyway, congrats on the googley, Swiper-style or not :goodvibes!

I'm Laurie, btw, and also new to the BOBers and fairly new to this "thread" (only joined somewhere along the way on #23). We have cruised a number of times before (incl on "the Big Red Boat", pre DCL), but never on DCL and never as a BOBer. We are looking forward to both, though!
