10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread 24

Hello everyone! I went to the Yankee game last night but left early due to the rain delay. I didn't want to get home at 2:15 AM, 1:15 was much more tolerable!

I am getting ready for our road trip to Georgia that starts tomorrow. We are leaving at 6:00 AM tomorrow. I am leaving that early so that I will be passed all of the big cities by the afternoon rush. I hope to be off the Beltway in DC by 2 or so, and then travelling south in Virginia on I-95.

The family comes home tonight and then we leave right away. I can't wait to see my family. I miss them!

Have a safe & fun trip. Is this business or pleasure?

Yes it will be. At least it won't be as hot as last week. We wouldn't be doing too much other than sitting. Even that was hot.

To tell you how bad it is yesterday and today, the weatherman just came on and said, "it would be hard to have a worse summer day than yesterday, but we'll give it a try today".

I feel so bad for Hazel and AFEG. I think they only packed summer clothes because it was so hot last week.

Summer? There's summer somewhere? We had 19 out 30 days of rain in June, & July is starting the same way. Temps way below normal. That said today wasn't bad - no sun but now rain either. Went strawberry picking wiht DIL & 2 GK's. Muddy but fun.

Thanks both - it worked! - I lost 2 1/2lb

Good for you! That's a good loss per week.

Haven't had much time for posting this week - just skimmed a little, enough to see that some of you are having a great fantasy cruise. Another time I would have boarded the ship with you. My father had surgery for the aneurysm on Monday, came home Tues. & still needs some attention. Once this is over & we take our beach vacation in a couple weeks, then I'll really get into cruise mode I hope.


Leisha, you must be getting excited witht he wedding just a few days away! Hope all the details that were causing you problems worked out OK.

Joanne, Dan relayed your text message to me. Did you get my reply on your cell?

Hey everyone!! I've been missing the past couple days - it's month end for us and I'm an accountant - which means I'm busy this time of month.

Not much going on. Sorry it's so cold here during your visit AFEG. We have had AWESOME weather here in Virginia lately - nice and warm, but not too humid (like it normally is this time of year)

Getting ready for the girls to fly on a plane all by themselves on Monday! They are flying directly to Atlanta where my parents will meet them - and take them to Pensacola, FL (where they live) for 3 weeks..... It's like a second honeymoon for me and Dave!!! (Except I'm going to CHicago for one of the weekends)

Loved catching up with you all. I read all the posts, but my brain is too fried to respond. I have really loved reading the fantasy trip comments - hope to be able to do that on our next cruise!

She is really doing a great job. I met her and her mom in the terminal. She was never on the meet thread so we never had the disser discussion until I started ready her report. I ran into them a few times on the ship. They were fun to talk with.
