We moved from North Jersey last year - I'm with them! I miss the grey skies even less than the snow - well, almost less maybe. An added unexpected bonus is the days (sunlight) are approx 1 hr longer in the winter here. I didn't realize that before we moved.

So you also live in Florida?

Hi, Nancy! (sorry - had to look up your name - I don't have them down just yet :rotfl:)

Would you mind explaining your avatar? We lost our daughter (technically my step daughter) last year to melanoma after a quick, horrible battle. Ironically, she found a lump while on her first Disney Grand Gathering with us. It was a wonderful trip, and a "healing" time for all of us. Just over eight months later, she was gone.

after these last 2 weekends...we feel like we should be doing something, but its nice to relax. may go look for some paint. i'm off this week and may paint the bedroom. (we dont have any friends who will help us):rolleyes1

Chuck, Tony and Jesse are just west of you right now Mike. Probably just a couple hours away. I'll send them over to help. :goodvibes

Our son was born 11/20/2007. Our daughter was born 03/22/2001. We are taking our daughter with us, but our parents will be watching our son for us.

Chris, our son Tony was born on 11/20 but in 1980. :yay:

HEAR THAT TONY!!!;);););):wizard::wizard:

guess tony will be to busy to play basketball with me.:rotfl2:

I can only hope.

Awesome. Both of our sons were born on the same day. I was born in 1980:) January 14th. So we both have sons with the same birthday and we both live in the same village....I guess that is another reason to celebrate. Lol.

Yes, we're on the gulf coast - Ft Myers. It took me over ten years to convince DH to move, but now he regrets not listening to me a long time ago.

Oh ok, will I am glad that you both like it. My dad and grandma are more inland in Winter Haven.

tell em to bring an 12 foot ladder. vaulted ceilings are a pain when its time to paint. or we could just have everyone stand on Tuna's shoulders.:thumbsup2

OOOH, on a roll with the milestones today :worship: Now, would you please decipher "FO"?

You betcha. I have the "professional" explanation here from page one for you:

In case anyone is wondering what the FO game we play here on the B.O.B. cruise meets thread, here is the explanation:
FO is a game (for lack of a better description) that was started on the Konked Kruiser thread that some of us belonged to for the October 07 cruise. The term FO was started by afeg.

Anyway, the game in a nutshell....if you post, and your post is the beginning of a page, then you try to get the second post on the page also. It means you have started a "Fresh One".

Now, this isn't always as easy as it seems - if there are multiple posters on at the same time, and someone else gets the second post, you don't get to "claim the FO". The 40 second rule between postings comes into play.

Laurie, Firstly, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter.

Stage II melanoma has visited me more than once. I'm one of the lucky one's though and beat the no more than 60% survival rate on it.

I am also the resident "nag" on the BOB thread whenever someone starts talking about tanning and sunning themselves. I try not to step up on my soap box too often but it isn't easy when you care so much about all these people here. I hope that my avatar can deter them at least a little.

And for the Bober game:

The game is for the current thread. When a new thread is started, the first will be awarded for the 100th post, and so on. Post #3750 (should be the last post on any thread, although I know we've gone past) gets 5 .

The count, however, will be cumulative and will keep going until midnight on 10/23. Whoever has the most by then wins a special prize, presented by MG, at the 1st onboard BOB meet. Probably a 2nd and 3rd place too. Unless the contest is won by a FOBOBer , then you will have to appoint someone to receive the award for you.

Oh, one more rule: no more than 10 posts in a row, from one person, to claim a ! Otherwise, you will forfeit your

Everybody got it? Any questions? I guess I have volunteered to be the score keeper. It will get harder when more people are on and posting. And don't forget the nasty 40 second rule!

Good Luck Everyone!!!

Nancy - did I tell you....I got rashguard shirts for all my family to wear swimming this summer and on the cruise (SPF 50 swim shirts). So we are all ready to go!
