I would love to see both movies myself but have a lot to do for the shower. That darn wedding is messing up my weekends. It is less than two months and I am getting very excited. I can get my dress zipped at this point. I still can not breath in it but I have a few weeks to get a couple of pounds off and breathing room.

AFEG - I went to Churchill Downs yesterday for a business meeting and went into a pool with several other people and won the pick six. We will end up with about $200 a piece after taxes. I was so excited. Not bad for a $10 investment.

Hey guys, just checking in on the new thread...thanks Jeff for directions

So we spent Wednesday night at the Children's Hospital. Kira's cheek and chin were very swollen They believe that she has swollen lymph nodes probably caused by bacteria from a sore she has on her chin.

Thursday morning the swelling had spread from her right side to both sides. She is on antibiotics and we're hoping that will do the trick, if not we have to go back to the hospital

We did the food allergy testing, which, IMO, was a waste of time. She showed a reaction to more than half of the tests but she doesn't show any kind of reaction when she eats the foods. For example, pineapple was her worst one with a 5 rating....she eats pineapple all the time with zero kind of reaction They kept going on and on about her ezcema, which isn't bad really but they couldn't give us an answer about what kind of food would have given her such a bad reaction. We go on the 26th to do the environmental tests. I have a feeling though it will be similar to the food tests

OK, so, first, it was not that easy to find this thread..the "find your meet" thread still references #1 (612 pages long!). I was lamenting how I would never get through all that when I finally found thread #23 (the 22nd thread)!! Maybe someone could update the "finder" thread, or maybe the last post on each thread (before closing) could point to the new thread? (If they do, just ignore this - haven't been there yet)

Now, I don't know whether to be intimidated or to join right in, so I'm opting for the latter...
here's our info:
kdzgon = Chuck & Laurie, with 2 DGS, 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 when we sail (kids made me add the "1/2"s!), Florida
We have been on a number of cruises, but this will be our first "official" Disney cruise (I took my kids on the "big Red Boat" many years ago) and we are pretty excited!

By any chance, does anyone have a "Reader's Digest" version of all these threads

I have not yet attempted all the other threads, but the links to the excursions in the original thread are no longer valid.

I actually thought to look for a "meet" thread because I was trying to find out what a "fish extender" is - kind of a convoluted trip but, hey...

Anyway, happy to be here, and I hope to meet you all in person this October!

The first round is on me. Tommy does not get a cut because he made fun of me getting into the pool and the way I bet horses. There were 43 of us and it was done by an actuary that I used to work with. It was a little over $10,000 and split 43 ways and taxes we will end up with around $200. I was so excited because now I can say that I won a pick six. I even picked a replacement horse in the 5th race. The one he had in his matrix was scratched and I picked the replacement horse using a very scientific way. The silks the jocky wore were pink and white and I was wearing a pink sweater. It is finally nice here today. I am going to enjoy the sunshine.

Laurie and family!

I'm Jen, and I will be cruising with DH Pete and our DS Thomas (who will be 6 1/2 at the time of sailing) as well as a whole bunch of relatives.

Please jump right in and don't be intimidated - part of the reason our threads are so long is that some of us have been planning this cruise since we stepped off the boat in October '07! We have a great mix of people who have cruised together, pleople who have not cruised together, new cruisers, etc.

One of our cruisers, Cass (aka Timon) has put together a website for us - you can get to it by clicking the orange square in my siggie. It has lots of info on meets we're planning, DIStag (also known as fish extender game to some), Logos and more! It's a good place to get started.

I'm sure someone else will chime in also! Glad to have you aboard.

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes - the high number of posts are actually what is somewhat intimidating to me. I try to stay away some from the message boards as I have a tendency to get pulled in quickly, neglecting what I really should be doing on my computer, so I wonder how well we'll really fit in on the cruise. It's not really a huge issue for me - just a little thought at the back of my mind.
