Hello folks, I am Lisa - I posted on one of the BOB threads a while back but we thought we might have to cancel our trip. However, I got a new job and not only have we not canceled our trip but it now will be a honeymoon cruise for us!!! We decided we were tired of waiting to get married - we have been together for 5 1/2 yrs and engaged for 2 1/2 and we just want to get married already so we are having a medium size wedding at home

This will be our first DCL cruise and we are really excited!! I have only been on one cruise before on RCC for 4 nights but I loved it! We are doing the ultimate disneymoon: 7 nights at AKL in WDW followed by this cruise!!!

Hopefully we can get to know some of you as we would love to have people to meet up the cruise!!

Just to update you all - Dan probably mentioned that my dad was taken to the ER last Mon & had gall bladder surgery on Tues. While he was there my mother came & spent nights with us. (in our den where the computer is). It was quite a busy stressful week. They are both home now & getting along pretty well. We as well as my oldest son & wife have done a lot to help that happen. Anyway, I hope after this they will be OK but at 88 & 89 anything's possible. That's been my fear about this cruise from the day we started planning it. I keep my fingers crossed every day.

Thanks! I am so excited for the cruise - I have never been on a 7 day either and have never been to St. Thomas or Saint Martin.

Does anyone have any suggestions on good excursions to do? We are not athletic people sadly but love to snorkel. Or should I forgo the excursions and just do the beaches and shopping?

Nancy, I am glad they're both able to be home and that you had the help you did from your oldest and his wife. What a blessing. My mom will be 90 on her birthday in September, and Mack and I definitely considered that something concerning her might interrupt our plans. Of course, now that we're not going on the cruise, it isn't as much of a problem, since we'll be within driving distance. We do have plans with the kids this summer and again by ourselves this fall, but still, we'll be able to drive if needed. I hope they'll both continue to do just fine!!!
