Howdy All,

I just wanted to drop by and say hello and to say thanks for those who have been sending me good wishes and praying for me about my recent surgery. Speaking of which, all went well with the surgery, but for the first 3 days after surgery I wished at times that I had died. Morphine and I do not get along very well and I was sick to my stomach for three days. Once I was able to start eating, I ate everything in sight, LOL!!!

I had a bit of a scare this past Tuesday as one of my docs thought I might have had a blood cot in my right leg. I had to lay in bed for 7 hours on Tuesday until someone was available to do an ultrasound on my leg. I finally got the results from the ultrasound late Tuesday(5:00pm) that the fear of the blood clot was negative.

Another reason for posting tonight, after such a long absence on this thread, is that I would like to say, "If I had offended, or upset anyone, in any way, shape or form over the past few months, I am extremely sorry and please accept my apology." I have done a great deal of soul searching the past couple of days and I am trying to make everything right.

Glad to hear your surgery went well, Verandy! Make sure you take care of yourself--no blood clots allowed.

Are you packed? It is unbelieveably hot down here be prepared. It was still 90 at 7pm. ANd it;s worse in Orlando, no ocean breeze.

No I am not packed yet. I will wait until tomorrow when Derek takes Moose for a walk. Moose cries when I take out the suitcases, so I wait as long as I can.

Thanks for the dollar store tip, Joanne. That's where I found ponchos. They were two in a pack.

A friend of mine is leaving tomorrow. Her DH has a change of command in the am or they would be leving tonight. Where are you staying? They are staying at Caribean beach.

We're good here. We're getting excited! Emily is trying to get a job as a lifeguard at the base pool. They've lost her application...MCCS (kind of like MWR)--gotta love them. Not sure now if she has a chance. And the training cost us $150. Luckily it's good for three years, but Rob is a little ticked off about it nonetheless.

AKV--but offsite one day before and one day after. I don't like to waste my points on a half-day, so we're staying at a Rodeway Inn for $33 a night, thanks to Travel Zoo. We did this with Comfort Inn at Christmas time, and it worked out so well.

It's that time of year. There are so many people moving in and out of housing right now, too. Moving trucks are everywhere.
