There are no magnets this time round

...

Now THATS a great beach:cool1:

Too bad on that point (magnets), though the "name below, by deck" makes the most sense - I was looking forward to a unique BOB magnet!

As to the beach, I cannot find my way back to JoanneL's original post - is that also Sapphire Beach, or another beach?

Yes, you eat at different locations on different nights. the times used to be staggered, but it seems early dining is at 5:45 and Late is 8:15.

You can request a particular rotation, but you may not get it.

Yes, when you link reservations, your whole group will dine at the same time.

Hope this helps. You are not dense.:goodvibes

Do you think the change to just two dining times would be the same for the St Croix itinerary as well? I did find Navigators from May, 2009 online so we could check those.

Just stopping on for a quick "Hello". Weather here in WI is nasty, wet & cold. I can't believe that it is June and I had to wear a turtleneck to watch my son's baseball game yesterday. UURGGGHHH I am ready to sail, yesterday!! Off to do a bit of :laundy: my Sunday favorite ;)

Firefighter Chris---I do not see your name listed for the Dis Tag....even grandma is doing it ;) Get with the program.

Laurie - if you go on Cass's site she has magnets you can print to decorate your cabin door :thumbsup2

The first beach she posted was somewhere else, but her pictures above that I quoted are Sapphire. Looks lovely doesnt it!:cool1:

Shhhhhh:ssst:, dont tell anyone else and the Bobbers will have it all to ourselves:beach: and it wont be :crowded:

Yes, it does look lovely. We have always gone to St John's during St Thomas port calls, but that beach sure looks inviting. Couple it with lots of my new BOBer friends and we may just skip that ferry to St John's!

I'd love to go to St Johns, but I'm nervous about the ferry (or rather missing it!), so I think I might give Sapphire a try:cool1:

I might go over to the main cruise bit and see who else has been there and their opinions.:thumbsup2

Sapphire Beach is BEAUTIFUL. It's right on a resort. It's very quiet and not really "touristy" so the beach wasn't crowded at all. Which we enjoyed. We got in a cab at the dock and asked the driver what he recommended. He said Maghens (sp?) Beach was nice, but ALOT of tourists and VERY crowded. We took a pass on that. So he said Sapphire Beach was really nice and somewhat secluded. I had heard about it on these boards so we gave it a try. He took us there for $10pp each way. It's really a beautiful beach. They do have a snack/snorkel rental shop. I also saw a little drink stand. We pretty much stayed at one spot on the beach so I am not sure what else there was there, but the driver said there was a gift shop also. We got to see a big iguana run across the beach while we were there. That was really cool! When you're ready to leave there is a cab stand right there. We didn't have to wait for one or anything. I would highly recommend going there. If I wasn't going to St. John next time around, I would probably have gone back there.

I will have to look back through the navigators, doesn't ring a bell.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:Don't worry Joanne. It's a bit of an ongoing joke..nearly all the cruises we've been on with Disney, he's been one of the acts.

Day three of Algae's trippee is now uploaded.

I went back to Cass's site, and found lots of things, but not printable magnets. However, part of the problem is I followed the link to the DID thread where these wonderfully generous designers help out so many people out of the kindnesses of their hearts! I will admit I got lost there for quite a while...

I also saw pictures of gifts from a previous game of DIStag, but for this newbie, pics of gift bags wasn't much help.... :rolleyes1

We have found it's pretty easy to not miss a return ferry. We have always found the taxi drivers at St John's to be quite helpful. We would just tell them what time we needed to be back at the ship and they would help us figure out what time to leave the beach we had chosen. We do generally purchase our return ferry ticket before leaving the pier though just in case there is some sort of delay upon returning to the pier for the return ferry.

Depending upon where and when Disney's ship docks (& when you disembark) you might need to allow for a taxi ride to and/or from a different ferry, too.

Quoting myself, but the St Croix 7 day Eastern has just two dine times listed on the May 9, 2009 Navigator.

Good lord, 8:15 is my smack time!! I can see with late dining I'm going to have to adjust my way of thinking. At least I won't wake up hungry in the middle of the night!
