Next day was St Thomas, we rode the Tram to the top, took a Taxi around the island and did a little shopping. Put DM in wheel chair and pushed her to the tram, the excursion desk told me we could take the chair all the way to the top, well they were wrong. Had to leave it at the bottom. No ramps all stairs. So DM rode up and then just sat at the top while I climbed to the top.

Here's more Tortola, we went to the reef first to snorkle and then to a beach you can only get to by boat. It was nice to be on such a small boat we got to stay longer, we saw the DCL excusion more like a cattle call leave about an hour before we did. I have always been afraid to do non dcl excusions since I don't want to miss the ship. But this one was great.
...
We ordered room service since I had to off the ship by 8 and the ladies had to meet their tour at 8:30.
...

Great report and pictures so far! I would have preferred to go on a Tortola-itinerary cruise, except choosing this Eastern led me to B.O.B., so all is good after all! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

This is Saphire beach that some one was asking about before.

Good morning everyone. To quote my deceased friend Mr. Fred Rogers, "It's another beautiful day in the neighborhood"

I am worried I am going to be stuck inside most of the day, but thank goodness for long days and late sunsets! I think I was out with Jay until almost 9:00 PM last night. Good times.

Any chance you can call DCL and try to be "waitlisted" for early rotation. I would think they would accomodate you as best as they can given the situation you mentioned.

Yes, we are waitlisted, and she told me with DH's diabetes odds are good they will be able to switch our assigned time so [imagine "fingers crossed" smilie here - DIS is taking too long to load the pics this AM]. :D

Your pictures are very nice! The Magic looks pretty much like the Wonder - is there much difference? Too bad the weather was so lousy. And I never did see your response about what made the food disappointing. Hard to imagine.....Got our cruise packet in the mail today. I think it's the same one we've had in the past but this time I'll pay more attention to the excursions. Now that you've been, you'll have to give us some guidance.....Phone ringing - it's Hannah telling us it's time to go to the DQ. So much for my diet - I actually stayed on it since breakfast! Almost a whole day!

N

The food was just ok, One night I had a parmesean crusted chicken which was delicious but the pasted it was served with had no taste.

The pasta w/ shrimp & scallops on pirate night was also very good.

But I was not cooking or cleaning so I had no complaints. We ate lunch one day in Luminares, best hamburger I ever had and I an icecream sunday!!!!

I had a few soups from the kids menu the were also very good, the soups on the adult menu were some cold ones and then some that are too fufu for me.

Joanne, thanks for sharing your Disney cruise pics with us:thumbsup2

Heather, I am following your trip report too, your traveling companions write very well:rotfl:

That ship looks awesome! I think we'd like to do a RC cruise sometime also, they seem to have the next best cruiseline under Disney, of course.

Well that's it so far. I have to wait for Roger to load the rest of the pictures. I will ask him today, it's just been so nice finally we are doing yard work and floating in the pool.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

The enterainment was John Charles, a hipnotist and a ventriliquist. they were all very good. We saw Bolt & Up inthe movies. Played Bingo, did the galley tour Went to all the shows and the adult shows in Rocking bar D.

Day three and four sea days. Had palo brunch, character breakfast played bingo and saw Bolt. Got a little sun time in but not much, walked the deck early and saw some sun, but hten the clouds rolled in. Had to eat breakfast inside at topsiders.

I know, I'm dense...I read that, but I'm not sure what it means exactly - does the rotation mean you eat at different locations on different nights, as opposed to being in the same dining room each night? And, do you request which of the 3 times within early options (or late, if late seating) or are you simply assigned a slot? And, does linking reservations mean that whichever one is assigned the whole group will be assigned to the same rotation?

Yes, you eat at different locations on different nights. the times used to be staggered, but it seems early dining is at 5:45 and Late is 8:15.

You can request a particular rotation, but you may not get it.

Yes, when you link reservations, your whole group will dine at the same time.

Hope this helps. You are not dense.:goodvibes

Just thinking about the champagne brunch... mmmm... is the champagne included in your Palo fee or do you have to pay extra for it?

This is one of the great things about DCL. There are 3 restaurants, and you rotate through all of them. The great thing is, your wait staff follow you through the rotation so that although you eat at a different venue, you have the same wait staff.

The three restaurants are as follows.

Lumiere's--French/European Cuisine (I enjoyed this the least last cruise)
Animator's Palate--Good food great atmosphere and a unique "Disneyfied" show.
Parrot Cay--Tropical Food/Atmosphere (my favorite last cruise) the food was great!

Good morning/afternoon all!

I'm sitting here alone. Rob has the duty today.:headache: I have only a few more days until I leave for WDW!!:cool1::cool1:

Lucky you.

Am told Your not wrong dear....Big disappointment by all accounts.....:rolleyes1

Lets just say it was OK.

Yes, you change restaurants each night and your servers move too.

Next day was St Thomas.

Thanks Arleen, I'll let Algae know:thumbsup2;)

The ship was the same size at the Magic and Wonder, so just perfect.
