Now they do as the home is a corporate asset, and the cars are owned and titled to the corporation as well. When we move, all we take are our personal belongings. The furniture stays, curtains, etc. We take pictures, and electronic items, and that is pretty much it. We then are assigned a new command that includes a different car and a different house that is furnished. Is your head spinning yet??
I sometimes wish the cars were ours and we were given an allowance to buy them. That way we would have more flexibility on model selection etc. In my division, (Southern New England) people in my position can only buy a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey...both minivans. I hope some day they allow crossovers as they are larger and get comparable gas mileage.
Wow, very nice!
Sad though you pick out all that stuff and can't take it with you and you just hope at the next place someone's taste was similar to yours.
How often do you pack up and move?
When do they expect you to retire?
smart of them only to allow Honda or Toyota, they know those will get their money's worth.
