OMG this is overwhelming! BUT, I'd like to join the party!! My family and I will be cruisin' with all of you in October. Coming along will be Jeff, Angie, Dustin (14), and Adrienne (11). Looking forward to getting to know some of you and planning our trip. Also can't wait to hear more about the B.O.B. You all sound like a crazy fun group. :)

Hello Jeff and Angie! Welcome to the BOB cruise and also to the DISboards. I'm Nancy G (or MG...Mother Goose) and cruising with my DH Chuck (DISname is Charlie Tuna). Our grown children are supposed to be traveling with us too.

Glad to have you party with us! If you want me to include you in our list of characters on post #1 of this thread, just pm me and I'll put your info up there with the rest of us. :flower3:

Hope to hear from you often. :yay:

OK kids, I have a few cruise questions. Some of them I (kind of) know the answer to but just in case other's are wondering about the answers I'll post them all.

1) How does the "tipping" work if you use your OBC's to pay for them?

2) How much does a massage cost onboard? (I think the info can be found at mydisneycruise.com, right?)

3) Is there a "room service" menu posted anywhere?

4) Does the Magic have photopass yet?

5) Am I a thread killer? ;)

Nancy -
1) You get pre paid cards delivered to your cabin with envelopes.
2) Not sure, but be prepared for the hard sell after.

3) Try one of Cass's links on the BOB site - the one with the navigators on it.

4) I haven't heard, but I don't visit any other threads. Allearsnet hasn't mentioned anything.
5) NEVER.

1) Simply fill out the sheet of paper that your stateroom host leaves in your room (usually on Thursday) and then take it to Guest Services and they will provide you with little cards with the amount of tip and the CM's name and you slip those into the envelopes provided

2) Way too much LOL!

4) NO :sad2:

5) never ;)

Well the Boston Bruins are on to the next round of the playoffs.

Dan

We watched them play when we were in Boston. Ellis was still in my tummy, but we bought him a onesie while we were there:cutie:, black and yellow with Bruins across his bottom, which was so cute when he crawled :cutie:

Wow...I understood most of that! :lmao::rotfl2:

You did!:eek::worship:

Wow! - I was lost after the bad day sentance at the start:rolleyes1:surfweb:

Hello! Welcome to our crazy thread!

I'm Karen, travelling with hubby Neil and ds Ellis who will be 9 when we cruise

Am I a thread killer? ;)

Nope!

Well, Ellis and I have had an interesting evening!

We joined a photography course for kids and parents today. Its a 10 week course. The first half hour was filling in paperwork, but after that it was interesting. Got too technical for Ellis in parts, but he enjoyed it and I learned quite a bit of stuff:thumbsup2

We took some cool photos between us. We had to choose shiny things, portrait, soft skin, macro, spiky things, smooth, rough. I'm pleased with a couple of my macro shots:thumbsup2

Makes me want to go in the garden and take some more (photo nerd!):rolleyes1

What I like most is that they teach you about your own camera, rather than the colleges supply.

You'll have to pass on what you learn to us.

Wow...it's a dead night tonight.

You'll have to pass on what you learn to us.

:eek::rolleyes1 I could try:rolleyes1:eek:

We learned about white balance tonight and not using a flash and macro etc.
I'll post a few piccies if you're interested, but they are of "wierd" things like bits of metal, a shell etc.

I am married to a computer geek....erm... a PC support specialist....so I hear the lingo all the time!

I'm still impressed Jen:thumbsup2:worship:
Neil and I just kick our pc if it goes wrong:rolleyes1...we kick it a lot:rolleyes1
