We just booked Animal Kingdom Lodge for Oct 31 after the cruise!:yay:
We're planning on going to the Halloween party at MK that night too!
I'm so excited:cool1:

Looks like you'll be joining quite a few BOBers Arleen.:yay:

Good evening everyone,
I am still in the mountains till sunday morning :goodvibes

Thursday was beautiful and I took some awsome pictures! (to come soon) Friday was skiing day and the hill was soooooo pretty I took some more awsome pic's and tried a few runs I had never done before. Unfortunatly I didn't get to ski past noon as I fell on one run :scared1: and the lovely people of the ski patrol pulled my sorry butt down the rest of the way. I spent 3 hours at Banff springs hospital and confirmed I didn't break anything but I did sprain my knee and it will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal with some physio. So now I hobble with some crutches and a tensor bandage on my knee..lol The owner of the company who took us all skiing felt so bad he hugged me when I saw him later that day he is a sweetie.
Today we took a driving tour through the mountains up into british Columbia and saw some very fantasic veiws, But this was day 2 of going to far to fast for me and I am spending the evening in the hotel and taking it easy. Tomorrow morning we will have some breakfast and head back to Calgary and then Sean is off to a hockey game with his mom and sis.. I will stay home with my leg up and some ice.

Ohhhh no Bernie.:hug: I sure hope you recover quickly. I was in the same boat as the Dr though. I broke my leg in 3 places skiing in Colorado when I was 19. Never skiid again. :sad2:

Ok people here is my poem. Fair warning it doesn't all rhyme, but this stuff is harder than it looks:

In August 07 a change in plans for me
For a Western Cruise replaced our trip to Disney

I found on the DIS a thread all a chatter
A group called Konked Kruisers not the Mad Hatters

We met on the ship one cloudy October day
They were some of the nicest people if I may say

Once off the ship the thread didn’t stop
We waited and waited for the 09 cruises to come up

We booked the cruise and happily waited
Just to cancel because the state budget got “governated”

So come October 24 I will sit by screen
Watching my friends sail by and wishing it was me

We shall sail all together again someday
Hoping for a Wonder-ful PC cruise all of 14 days

Have a Magic-al time there my friends
I know our friendships will never end.

Fantastic Becky!! Sure wish you were still cruising though.

Just popping in to say we are back home with one very tired young lady :cutie: She made it safely home, just a little turbulance on the flight. It's been a long day for her between the long flight, the time difference, and the stops we made in IL on our way home. I'll see if I can have her work on downloading some pictures to post tomorrow, we haven't even seen any of her pictures yet. I'm off to make sure she gets her contact lenses out before she falls asleep and get her tucked in.

Welcome Home Rach!

you could get one of those "extra special" green lites like jeff had.
:lmao:

That's wonderful Becky...and just so you know...
We'll be missing you lots...it's not fair you can't go!

Very clever Heather. :cutie:

I'm in the mood for doing some planning today

Most thngs are sorted, flights, car hire, car parking, tickets for seaworld/busch, villa, cruise...

Just got to pay for it all now

I just have to book our rooms before and after and make up my mind (or should I say...."our" minds) about mnsshp. Part of me wants to go badly but then again since we don't know when our flight will REALLY come in, I don't want to buy the tickets and then not be able to go. Plus the fact that the newlyweds still have not made up their minds about going is holding us up.

I still havent got my head round what I want to do at each port

I get mixed up between the 2 stops.

I just want a nice beach, I remember theres a cable car thingy, quite fancy that: and shops (of course;)), gotta find the shops:thumbsup2. I fancied the "plane" beach, but that just depends on the flight timetable if any are due. Cass gave me a link that I have bookmarked..will check nearer the time

Are there any shops people rave about?:confused3

Eg on the western everyone raved about the key lime pie and rum cake etc.
Whats on thsi one that people say is a "must buy":confused3

More Rum Cake baby! :woohoo:

T shirts - thats another thing I need:thumbsup2

Cass and Jen have sorted my logo's out - thanks again ladies

Just need to print them on iron on paper and get ironing. (the right way round;))

I might make myself a 2 resiurK deknoK t shirt:rotfl:

I bought some t-shirt transfers from someone on the DIS who claims they are awesome. No reversing of images either. I washed my new shirts last night and will probably try them out this week sometime. I'll let you know how they worked out. She sells them to anyone! I've read reviews and people rave about them. I wonder if they aren't the transfers that Cass has been looking for forever. :) I might just make my logos into buttons instead. Much easier that way.

How do i make the T shirts - are the logo's on Cass's site.

Yes Cath, just click on the BOB logo in my siggie line and it'll take you right there. :)

Happy Sunday everyone! Another sunny day here but they say that storm that hit Colorado is on the way here with heavy rain by Tuesday. We need it badly though - fire danger is high.

Good afternoon everyone. My sister and I took Jay to the Mystic Aquarium today. Elaine was at a teen lock in last night so she stayed home and rested.

The Mystic Aquarium has exhibits and is a direct partner with Dr. Robert Ballard, the man who found Titanic. There are great exhibits and displays featuring the wreck. I will post pics later.

We took a bus trip to Mystic many years ago. It was a beautiful aquarium then - I suspect it hasn't changed.

We just booked Animal Kingdom Lodge for Oct 31 after the cruise!:yay:

Yes, we are also in that illustrious group.

That's a great poem! I'm not sure I want to get to the # of posts that require a poem because the competition is so tough!

Wow, so sorry to hear about your knee Bernie:hug:
But I'm glad that you still got to do some sight seeing.

Sure was a chatty night again last night. I wish I would've checked in. I was watching my hubby very closely though. We (yes, we...cuz I helped) put up a fence around the garden shed yesterday. Chuck hung a hammer on the old dog kennel and went to tip it on it's side. Well, the hammer fell and guess where it landed? Yup! Right on his head. He fell like a ton of bricks. :sad2::sad2::sad2: He had such a lump on his head after that.

Years ago he helped his brother put up a fence at his house and when his brother was swinging the sledge hammer the head came off and slammed right into Chucks head! That one was much worse though. He needed stitches and a tetnus. :scared1::scared1:The next day he went right back to help out again but jokingly wore a hard hat and brought along a first aid kit! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Can't wait to see some pics!

Los Angeles, he was there because of the Airforce, and I had moved out there after college with a girlfriend, we wanted to live on the beach.

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well.

Sorry to hear about Bernie's injury...Hope you recover fast!

After this afternoon, I won't be on most of the week. I am going to visit my grandparents in Lancaster, PA (Amish Country). My grandma doesn't have high speed internet. All she has is dial up and its a toll call. She types her emails offline, then connects just to send. I may still take a computer to see if I can find any hotspots at a cafe or anything. I have my blackberry, but DISing is a pain on it. I may get desperate and give it a try though! :thumbsup2

Those of you on Facebook, I'll still be on there as I have the Facebook application on my BlackBerry. :thumbsup2

Someone needs to design a mobile DIS application!!!!!!

Just found out the green waiver forms might not be needed by October - at the moment you still need to complete them, ESTA and API:rolleyes:

GEEEZZZZ, Maybe Chuck should just stay inside and cook dinner or something?

He looks like Bob the builder in this photo:goodvibes

Good morning all,

Bernie & Chuck hope you feel better.

Becky- great poem.

Not much going on here today. Off to babysit and then grocery shopping. Cloudy and rainy weather for today. So some dvr catching up will happen today.

HAve a great Sunday.

Dis tag - partly sorted. I have part of it ready:thumbsup2

Cant find bags though. I remember going to Michaels at christmas - found it by mistke looking for another store:thumbsup2.. they had the nice paper bags there in various colours. Over here we can only get white or brown. White would be ok I guess:confused3...I could make it nicer with a tag and ribbon:confused3

Lat year I used the plastic thin bags which were great for minimum storage and weight, but didnt look as nice. I've searched for Mickey/Disney ones and cant find any:confused3

Wow! you're way ahead of me! I need to snap to it!

I'm still in the middle of my working stretch of six 12hour days. I'm looking forward to having some time off! Next paycheck I should have the cruise paid off. I already got the airfare paid off so from here on out it's saving for spending money!
