I hope you're watching Chris :happytv:

I think it's hysterical that the first 1 home run hit in the new Yankee Stadium went into the bleachers :yay: The next 2, off the right field and left field foul poles. :lmao:

What channel?

We have changed our vacation plans for this year. Have a lovely time everyone! We will miss cruising with our friends from the SSMC08 and meeting in person or seeing again those we have met here. We wish you MAGICal memories!

Sorry to hear that Mimi. Are you going to WDW in 2 days? Have fun!

Refunds are coming quickly also!!

I just got my stuff into my accountant on Tuesday. (They threatened to file extensions for anyone who didn't have their stuff in by 3/15 :scared1:) I hope he takes pity on my and gets me filed by 4/15 - he almost always does. I am such a bad client :headache:

evening all.... ahhhh friday...is there a sweeter sounding weekday?

What channel?

I'm watching on YES, but it's supposed to be on ESPN too. You can also watch on the internet on MLB.COM for free tonight. It's an exhibition with the Cubbies.

Oh yes I am. DISing and watching YES!

I can't wait to check out the new stadium two weeks from today. I did finally get my season ticket plan. I am in the left field bleachers now, but I am just happy to be in the building now.

Good for you! So, you decided against the $2500 seats??? :lmao:

Are you going to hide under your desk today?:lmao::lmao:.
Good Morning everybody. TGIF

Dan

Nope the sun was out all day!!! Windy but sunny- hope it stays this way, no H & R this week end, have to move DS # 1 back in tomorrow. DH is leaving Sunday to go to DC. Dog sitting doesn't end until Tuesday, So it's a busy week end here.

Don't forget - Lent officially ends on Holy Thursday and Sundays aren't counted in the 40 days of Lent (a little liturgical loophole!) :ssst:

Where was this information when I was a kid and still Catholic? :headache:

BTW, what is the whole history behind the no meat on Fridays? Seriously, I know as a kid we never had meat on Fridays during lent, but never really paid much attention in Sunday School back then to know if there was a meaning behind it. :rolleyes1

I'm Lutheran now and we eat meat on Fridays during lent.

We didn't know this when we were kids either, although I think we figured the Sunday thing out by high school.

Not sure about the no meat on Fridays thing. I was OK with that, because it usually meant pizza or grilled cheese/tomato soup, but it was barf time when my Mom made flounder (BLECH!!!)

I guess we were lucky, my mom always told us when we were kids that Sundays didn't count and whatever we gave up for Lent we could have on Sundays. Al didn't know about that as a kid either.

I know, but I feel guilty if I don't wait until Easter Sunday.:lmao:

This is how I learned it. Not eating meat on Fridays is a form of penance. Also on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday we only eat one full meal, two very small meals, and no in-between meal snacks. Fasting and abstinence can be traced all the way back to the Jews of the Old Testament.

Lesson over. I hope it is correct.:goodvibes Maybe Kathy's brother can verify, although I am sure he gets tired of answering that question.

Paige, that's what I had been taught too.

Well, I'm going to be norty today and totally ignore the big pile of ironing waiting for me and go sit in the garden with a cuppa for a while to read. It was cold and miserable this morning but its turned sunny and warm now so I'm going to make the most of it.:cool1:

ellis will off school for 3 weeks. teach him to do the ironing.:thumbsup2

The only problem is that the DVD probably has me and Karen with our skirts blown over our heads. Curses on the wind on Deck 10! :headache:

that it does paige, that it does.:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::laughing:

Chuck always makes my cards using crayons. I think he bought me one card in all the years we've been married, the rest he made for me and I've kept every single one of them.
