He used to weave baskets too so our kids always received home made Easter baskets every year. Because he was so talented with that he would constantly french braid Kristin's hair but not in the usual way. He would braid from side to side (ear to ear) with different colored ribbons woven within.

When Kristin played sports in grade school and the early part of high school her team-mates would line up on the bleachers and my dad would braid all their hair for them. Everyone had a different look!! Everybody loved Kristin's Opa!!

Wow, what a great granddaddy!!!

She would have her tailed tucked down and hang her head. As soon as we were home she would go and hide. It would always take her a few days to get used to her new "do". I guess the bows on the ears and bandana didn't help.:rotfl:

Awww poor girl :guilty: Stitch loves being shaved because of all the extra attention I give him....he acts all proud and handsome :lmao:

Bryan joined the three of us last evening for dinner at Old Country Buffet, then the four of us went to see the Easter Passion Play at our church. Our church is having 5 services this weekend, we went to the 6:30 service and by the time we got there at 6pm we had to go and sit in the overflow section of the new Connection Center that was just finished being built last week. We were told the 2:30pm service yesterday had over 1800 people in attendance and probably that many at the 6:30 service. The services today are 8:30, 10:30 and 12:30. Everyone in the play did an outstanding job.

This morning, Lina is attending Mass with Bryan and his parents at their church. Lina will be joining them for dinner this evening as well.

Have a Blessed Day Everyone!!! :wave2:

I'm surprising Hazel this morning.....I just made a dozen Deviled Eggs to go with our dinner this afternoon. The one advantage of going to church last night, is that she can sleep in this morning. I have to get Lina up at 8:30 so she can start getting ready, I have to drop her off at Bryan's by 10:15 this morning. This SHOULD be FUN!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My Sunday morning newspaper just arrived, bye for now........:wave2:

At lunch today I was telling Suz about the eggs my dad hand painted himself when Chuck and I got married. These are real egg shells. He poked holes in the top and bottom and blew out the contents without breaking any of the shells. Then he would paint them. Here are mine:

Both of our kids also have their own too. Too bad my dad didn't pass his talents onto his daughter. I couldn't draw a straight line even if I had a ruler!

Those are beautiful, what a great memory.

Good morning and Happy Easter all,

Can some on please post a link to you weight loss site? I have got to get back on track!!

Thank you.

Paige, happy to hear your good news:hug:

Also, I've flown in twice the morning of a cruise with no problems.
Of course I didn't get in as early as most of these guys are planning, but still
it was later enough that it wasn't so crowded and didn't take long to go through the lines in the terminal.

Cheryl, how awesome that Rachel is in England for her school break!:cool1:

Are you and Al sad that you didn't get to go visit too?
I'm sure it's cheaper this way though.

Just flew my son out to CA for his spring break in Feb. He wanted me to come also but it was just too much money and also I wanted him to visit with his Dad's relatives without me in the way.

Rachel having fun?
