Sorry Folks.......the bottom finally dropped from underneath me and I also feel like I got kicked in the gut this morning at work. With the "reduction" of "additional salary" starting in April there is no way that Hazel and I will be able to cruise anytime soon.

I wish I could express how sick to my stomach I am feeling right now. If I had been turning 55 next month, instead of April 2010, I would have been filling out my retirement papers before the end of the day.

Hey Andy - I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you can hang on till the last minute to cancel in case something comes through so you can go!

Gotta comment on this one- I don't stand I defense of pageant moms either. By the time my daughter was 18 months old (a toddler), my husband could carry her through the toy store and she was reaching for play purses and plastic dress shoes. By the time she was 4, she had seen Disney princess movies and definitely wanted to dress up. Her 4th birthday party included a tub of dress up clothes and accessories. All her little friends loved it - well, except the little boy who came. Then we got out her brother's full armor of God tub, and he had a ball too! So - how does a 4 year old know she wants to dress up like that? Disney!!!!! Ariel was my daughter's first movie ever. She loved it. She was born in Nov. 1989 so she was very little when it came out!

The HUGE differance is.. your daughter was playing.. pagents are not playing....they have to follow rules and such.. all kids like dress up and playing.. but when it becomes a "job" thats when the "kid" dissapears....and the puppet begins...

anyways I think this is a taboo subject like talking politics and religion..lol back to just loving Disney...lol

What did you think of the interview & comments at the end of the show? (J & K) Didn't realize Jon was so unhappy with the show life. Sounded like he'd like to end it but I'm sure finaancially they need it to continue. No way could they support that house & life without it.

It was great but yeah I didn't realise he was so unhappy aswell.. but as much as he hates being on it if he looked back and realized how it helped them to not go bankrupt he would change his tune.. having that many kids is pretty scary but Kate is amazing at organizing.. even if she comes across alittle harsh sometimes.. with that many kids you would need to be a bit firm. Did you watch the one with 12 kids?.. that one dosen't flow well for me...

Finally arrived home a short while ago from visiting my surgeon. The x-rays I had on Friday revealed that I am nearly bone on bone on the inner side of my right knee. The doctor did give me a cortisone shot and said I should consider having a partial knee replacement within the next few months. At least my right knee will catch up to my left knee with having four surgeries each, and each knee will have partial replacements. Oh the joy of aging.

So who amoung us is writing a TR for the cruise? I believe Cass is and maybe Karen. Joanne is going to try her hand with her May cruise.
