Good morning everyone!

Hugs and prayers to those who need them.

To our CA bobers--it's so frustrating, isn't it? The "punks' rights" always seem to supercede the rights of the law abiding citizens.:headache:

Have a good Monday, y'all.:goodvibes

Hey guys and gals

Sorry to bring the thread down, but I am putting in a request for prayers.
Three Oakland,CA police officers were killed yesterday, and 1 has been declared brain dead. One of them was a former co-worker of Sean's.
Please keep these families in your prayers tonight.
Thank you.

To the Gums family from the Kenney Family MARY and MARK

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU BOTH

party:

Nancy and Dan

I think I missed something here. Who are Mary and Mark? Are you talking about Janice's Mark? :confused3

Oh well, Happy Birthday. :)

Good morning everyone. I was kind of on the DIS last night but was getting frustrated with how slowly things were loading, so I just relaxed and watched Dirty Dancing on one of the premium channels. "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" :lmao: I'm a movie quote kind of guy. :cool1:
Truer words have never been spoken.

Here's what's happening in our "small town."

We had a police officer shot here in Ceres a few years back. Gang Related. When the Ceres PD decided to put the crack down on the local gangs we were all treated to non-stop stories in the local paper about how "racist" the police were being. The editorial pages were full of letters from people protesting the "treatment" their children were recieving.

The Result?

Now, I can't send my kids to the park two blocks away from my house for fear that they will either be shot, beat up, or at the very least exposed to the foul language and behavior of the local hoodlums. Think I'm exaggerating? Just a few weeks ago a man was beaten almost to death at one of the local parks when he took his family there and and a few of the locals felt they were more entitled to his camera than he was.

The local press asked a Police Officer (my brother-in-law) if the man had "taken his family to a place that he shouldn't have." Craig incredulous responded saying "No, That family had every right to play in this park, It's the punks who were intruding!" This is the mind set of the media. The Police are always wrong and the law-abiding should really stay holed up in our homes and wait for our turn for the home-invasion robbery.

Oops! Sorry everyone. This subject really sets me off.
I was just telling someone the other day how I have noticed an increase in loud, vulgar behavior outside of my building downtown lately. I sit in my office and can hear people yelling outside at one another, dropping the F-bomb every other word. On Friday, I was pulling out of my parking lot and just noticed 3 or 4 hoodlums hanging out in front of the bank across the street. The building next to mine has been "tagged". Fortunately mine hasn't. I am wondering if the gangs remember maybe that The Salvation Army perhaps gave them Christmas when they were kids. :confused3

The library is brand new and is directly across the street from our building too, and often times people block my driveway/lot to drop off books. If we politely ask them to move their cars they will say, "I am just dropping off books, so #$# off." Wonderful word we live in...:rolleyes1

Well, I am off to the gym for my Monday workout. Talk to everyone later.

Morning Peeps! I have a lot of catching up to do. I tried to get on yesterday and it would not load. Glad it is working today. Have a great Monday!

Looks like my online time will be limited for the next couple of weeks. I found out this morning when I got to work that I have about 3 weeks worth of meters to read over the next 7 working days...........:headache::mad:

Only stopped by the house now to go to the bathroom, drink a quick Slim Fast shake for lunch, then I'm back out the door. Already got one meter book done this morning, going to try and get a second book done this afternoon.

Bye Guys, I'll drop by when I can.......:wave2:

I am home for lunch for a bit. For some reason I am being websensed at work and can't get on the DIS. That shouldn't be happening, but oh well.

I have no idea what I am going to have for lunch. Elaine had a morning meeting in Hartford and isn't responding to texts so I don't know if she will be back for lunch or no. :confused3

:grouphug: My prayers are with the families. My dad is a retired police chief so I can relate to the families. Please let me know if they are stting up a memorial fund for the families. Thanks

Hello all. I see the DIS is finally up and running. I figured it would come up while we were gone this afternoon. Had another day out in the sun. We had a friends b-day party at the park. It was not to hot today but the wind was horrible. It kept blowing plates right out of our hands. One poor kid got a face of quac. from a plate that the wind took off the table and smacked the poor kid in the face. Well I am off to bed. Early morning for me tomorrow. Talk to you all tomorrow.

I feel for the poor kid but I have to admit it did make me laugh.

Keep that man of yours safe Becky.:hug: Prayers on their way.

We worked in the yard all weekend and I can barely move today. We watched basketball over the weekend. Louisville stressed me out yesterday. They can not let it get that close or I am never going to make it through the rest of the tournament. :scared1: We would love to go to Indy to see them play this weekend but I want to save the money for the KK in Oct. Ryan (DS) and some of his friends are going. They will have a great time. Tommy and I went to Indy in 1980 and watched them win the championship that year. :cheer2: It was the highlight of my freshman year.

I do too. Let's hope they do not disappoint us. They scared me last night. I did not think they were going to pull it out. I am not a big Patino fan but he is a good coach.
