When I checked a few weeks ago there were only 2 cat 6 rooms available, I was surprised. There were quite a few cat 5 rooms available though.

Only 2?! That is very surprising.

I bet a lot of Cat 5's and 4's are out there though.

I'm shocked. I just put in for Cat 6 and our cruise is only GTY.

We had a room assignment when we got our one and only upgrade. We had room 2550 and got upgraded to a Cat 7.

We were happy. Other people were getting 3 category upgrades - 9 to 6. I'll take any upgrade though.

We are booked in an 11 this time. Last cruise we had a SPH room (5522).

We're switching to Verizon in April when our contract with AT&T is up. We have our house phone, cable and internet with them....Rob's work phone is with Verizon as well, but we don't have to pay that bill.....As for texting, I don't do it. I would probably be as addicted to it as my daughter if I did have it. I really have no need for it. In fact, I kinda enjoy forgetting my cell phone at home so no one can reach me...

Does anyone ever feel like that, too....like you're TOO connected?

I am just the opposite. I love having my cell phone. It is also my house phone. I get calls all through out the day from my girls. They call me all the time. We all have Sprint. Diane

A party line! That's a blast from the past Mike. My brother and I used to listen in on our neighbor. She was having an affair and we knew all about it.

Believe it or not, there are still a few around out in very rural areas!

They're still in the cities as well. Just have to dial 900 first.

This one is for Heather. I could do this as a "where in the world" but I don't think anyone would get it. OK, we'll give it a try, where is this located and what is it made from?:

My guess is it is made of Jelly Beans (or Jelly Belly's) and it is in a candy store somewhere (such as Goofy's Candy Co. - maybe on Westside?).

i underdstand the need for girls to have a cell phone in this day and age.
(security wise)
i've got a cell too but dont carry it all the time. probably should, but i hate it.
we dont do texting at all!!
we do have at&t / cingular and are pretty happy with the "bars".
we could go back to the old days of a "party line" phone.
now i'm showing my age.

We had a party line when I grew up. We would pick up the phone and someone else would be talking. Also we had to listen for the different rings. I guess I'm showing my age. Di
