Fellow BoBer's I need some input. Nancy and I are considering changing from cable tv to the Dish Network. If anybody out there has Dish how do you like it?

Hi Cath...yes the show was great. As you said Ray was outstanding. My hair stood up on the back of my neck when he was skating.

Where did that fab body come from!! He didnt look like that when he was on X Factor.

You get a big Pffffffft on that one Jeff. Guess who has to come up with tomorrow's question now? His initials are J E F F !!! :goodvibes

Well technically speaking, my initials aren't J.E.F.F. That is just the spelling of my name. :snooty: :lmao:

Care to try again? :rotfl2:

This one's easy.....DH and I would be all over the UK, looking at castles.

If we weren't limited by time either, it would be the UK to look at castles, then Germany to look at castles.

You wouldn't take Thomas? :confused3

Ok, I've been skimming the last few pages, so I may have missed this...

Jeff, are you finding Airtran pricing for October? How?

No prices yet. They only have the flights up to the 18th. I'm using the pricing and times you can get on that date. Since they won't be on sale when they are released, and the fares I'm finding are the non-discounted price, it is a good estimate.

I'm hoping we'll see them soon.

Well, we got home in one piece.. just!

Its been raining some of the afternoon so it made the hard packed ice a little more slushy:thumbsup2

Trouble is it started snowing heavily as we left Beavers, by the time we got home the wipers on the car were barely adequate to shift it as it landed.

We are forecast between 4 and 8 inches overnight. Its awful out there at the moment:sad2:

We're praying for a snow day!

Still no snow here.:sad1: Did Neil make it to Plymouth okay?

Since people are discussing flights, here's my dilemma.....

I am looking to fly out of Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago.

Madison: Pros - easy to fly in and out of, cheaper parking//Cons - NO direct flights

Milwaukee: Pros - closer than Chicago//Cons - cannot find direct flights yet

Chicago: pros - nonstop flights//Cons - expensive parking/bigger hassle to get there and home

Any thoughts from frequent flyers?

Don't forget Rockford. Isn't there a discount airline that flies out of there non-stop to Orlando (may Sanford)?

As for Chicago (O'Hare), we just did a park and fly at the Renaissance for $100. Got the room for the night and you can leave the car for up to 10 days. That is a steal. There is also the Holiday Inn (we stayed there when it was the Clarion). And since it is not a snowy time of year, there are a ton of others we'd look at with surface parking.

As for MKE's non-stops, you can book on Midwest into Tampa right now if you wanted to. I don't think it is too pricey either. Air Tran will be out soon though.

Very creative WW thinking. :thumbsup2

I just smash up some baked doritos, add some red and green pepper flakes to that and bread the fish. I don't use flour or egg before hand. If the fish is wet enough, it'll stick. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes. :)

Thanks Kathy. I'll be there. :cutie:

Those were chicken brats too, right? (Please don't tell me they were Pork:eek: ).

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: But then I couldn't eat my breakfast at the same time could I? :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Thanks for all the well wishes for Chuck everyone. He's still in bed now and went to bed at around 7:00 pm last night. Poor Tuna. :sad2:

Joanne, those beach pictures were gorgeous. My boss is in Destin right now. Do me a favor and keep him there! :flower3:

:bday: party: Happy Birthday again Logan! party: :bday:

Thanks for the recipe. You could maybe use salsa (just the juicy part) if you needed liquid. Or a bit of lemon juice. I'll have to experiment. Thanks again.

So here's a question, why is it 3.5X as much to fly from Chicago to the UK than it is for the UK to fly to Chicago? :confused3

Same airline and flights, just reversing the course. It doesn't matter if the flight there is on the same day as what would be the UKers return flight. They are just robbing us blind for that.

Sorry UKers, if I could have gotten the $378 RT ($328 for DS), we'd be there. Instead, it is $1,344 with no child discounts per ticket.

Great, which is the best or are they about much of the same. I just love shopping.:thumbsup2

I haven't been to St. Maarten in a long time, so I think some others might weigh in here. However, I was in St. Thomas last April and the shopping there is excellent, especially for jewelry. My favorite jeweler is Cardow. There's also great buys on things like crystal (their prices for Waterford were so good, we actually had some shipped home) china, perfume and designer watches. I got some beautiful local prints, which I had framed and are now adorning my 'caribbean' powder room! A nice place to visit, even if you can't afford to buy, is the Bernard K. Passman gallery which features 'legal' black coral jewelry. Oh boy, I'm getting exciting just think about it!

ok - you asked for it, we could use some company
These are from yesterday- Navarre Beach where we were bike riding. The road is still closed from Hurrican Ivan, but you can bike & walk.

This beach has been renourished so the sand is not as white as Destin, it needs a few years in the sun.

Thanks for that Kathy. You sound like a good shopper. My type of girl. Love the jewellery shops and Sean loves watches so that will be on my list.:thumbsup2
