I'm holding on booking the flight down. I think the prices will go down from the first listing. The return, however, will fill up, so I'll book it when it first comes out. If you book both when they are first released, it will be about $258 each.

I told Rachel to tell Courtney around $258 round trip is what it's been consistently running with Air Tran. I know we'll definitely book the return right away too, not sure I'm willing to gamble on the flight on the way out, you just never know what air fares are going to do :confused3 I still need to think about whether I want to take a chance and wait or just get them right away.

I'm sure it is in my Fodor's book. I'll look it up tonight for you.

Thanks Jeff. I'm pretty sure though that I will have to skip TB this time and wait till she's older. I will just look for a nice beach close by :thumbsup2

I am too paranoid to go too far away from the ship... don't wanna miss it..lol

Did you guys decide on what to do in the ports yet???

She IS a babe!! Gorgeous eyes and I just love her hair in this pic :lovestruc

Hey! Our smileys are back where they belong :woohoo:

I just love this one!! :lmao: Sorry about dinner, just saw your post now...been in bed most of the weekend

I would LOVE to wake up to that every morning  :cloud9: :lovestruc

I think they know that it's narrowed down to 3 families and they don't know if they were the ones chosen. I'm pretty sure I read that someone awhile ago :thumbsup2

Nancy has a personality just like her eyes. Beautiful. She truly is a babe says Walt. Diane

Cass - Are you looking for kid-friendly beaches? That's what I'm on here researching right now.
We want some good beach time but don't want to be stuck there all day.

Well, I spent many hours doing research...we had wanted something relatively close to the dock and without all the crowds but with some nice facilities. I had narrowed it down to Divi Little Bay on St Maarten, and Emerald Beach on St Thomas.

But then I was looking at pics of Trunk Bay the other day and I just got a pang in my chest and remembered how much I really wanted to go there. But from all my research, it takes forever to get there and back and kinda pricey too and I'm not sure how Kira will take all that travelling. So I think I am back to more research as I think Emerald Beach is a little too far.

You two should try Meghan's Bay with the little ones. It is one of the top 10 beaches in the world (as is Trunk Bay). Just a simple cab ride over the hill to the other side of the island. Don't have to leave St. Thomas at all. They have a snack stand and bathrooms there. It was easy to get to.

Where IS that hunky English Gent??? :confused3

yes I have been wondering aswell.. I get a random weird pm from the guy and not a word since..lol

how am I to get to know this interesting guy if he plays ostrich all the time?? :lmao:

Cass, sorry, but my book is from 2004 and doesn't have any info on the ferry company. Just the times and prices (at the time of printing). But they do run from both locations.

You could even take a boat to Tortola, BVI if you were adventurous.

Oooh! Good research! Thanks for the beach names. I was just looking at the prices on DCL's website and WOW is it pricey! I think we'll only be able to choose a beach at one of the two ports. Preliminarily I'm thinking a beach at St. Maarten and just shopping at St. Thomas and perhaps the sky lift? Still thinking about it.

Is Divi Little Bay on St. Maarten close to where we dock. Do you know if they have decent snorkleing there? We are not planning an excursion on St. Maarten to save some $$ and I told Rachel we'd just try and find a beach close to where we dock and spend some time there and if we end up back on the ship early we can enjoy the Magic while it's not very crowded.

I know, but I'm so worried about the cab rides without carseats. Call me parnoid, but I don't know what to do about that.

Just talked to them yesterday on the phone, so I know he got out of Mexico (although, they thought we got stuck down there - whole other story :rotfl2: ).

I told him he needs to get on here. We'll see if he shows up.

NO!! aahhhh thats next on the planning side.. I figure it will be exploring the citys and beaches..unless you have better sugestions?

Suz wants to get them done both at the same time, but we're looking at flying down 1 week before Teachers' Vacation, I mean Convention, so I don't think we need to rush.

I could have flown to MCO in Feb for $113 round trip. I think we'll see the one-way go down to $79 plus taxes for sure. I may even bite at $99+. They will start, however, at $119+.

You can get on Midwest into Tampa if you feel like gambling.

HI GUYs

Our grandson team won 4-1
Week after next Nana and Grampa travel to Bangor which is about 100miles from Brunswick to the State PEWEE tourney which the boys play in. They will be placed 2nd or third in the State in there division of Pewee Hockey.
That means 2 overnights. We do it every year.
Nancy and I are the Nana and Grampa of the team:rotfl::rotfl:.
You and Mack have a great week.
Just got through watching Extreme Make over the show that Capt Chris took part in with the S elevation Army. I believe his crew fed the workers.
Have a great evening.

Yeah, I've read all the rave reviews about MegansBay but I also read how crowded it gets and I really don't like crowds. :scared:

Yeah, he needs to get on here more so the newbies can see why we love him so much

We love adventure but I doubt Kira would :lmao:

Yes, they are pricey, which is why we are just going to take a taxi to a beach at both ports, no tours or anything.

Here's a little quote about Little Bay:
Little Bay: Sporting a white sand beach front, Little Bay offers calm water (barring southeasterly winds). Great for snorkeling. Access to water sports and restaurants at Belair Beach Hotel and Divi Little Bay.

Just talked to them yesterday on the phone, so I know he got out of Mexico (although, they thought we got stuck down there - whole other story :rotfl2: ).

Yeah, I've chatted with him since he got back, but he needs to get his butt back on this thread!!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

As I said, go to Meghan's. You'll be happy with that one. :thumbsup2

I laugh cause everyone is worried about their smaller children and I am worried cause i have teenagers that whine more than a tired Kira..LOL

I am scared to take them too far :lmao: at least when the kids are small you know they get tired... mine will make me wanna sell them to the locals!..lol:rotfl2:
