Hey guys. Could i ask for a little pixie dust for Mike.
When i came home from work, i found him passed out in front of the computer
(with a smile on his face). Seems he was looking at that picture of the pillow fight that Cass posted, and it was too much for his heart.:sad2:
We have a team of surgeons from Cleveland lined up to check him out.;) ;)

Funny, Mike was the first, er, no, the second thing I thought of when I saw that picture.

New season of Survivor begins tonight and The Amazing Race is back on this coming Sunday night!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

yep I got the DVR doin' overtime@

Here's a little more on our trip:

Day 4

Our first of two Magic Kingdom days. Thinking that the park would get busier as the day wore on, we started at the most important side of the park for us then worked to the opposite side, thinking that anything that we didn’t get to could be hit on the last day. Turns out the park never really got too busy and the wait times were little to nothing all day. I’d do my usual time posted to time on comparisons but it really didn’t apply. We walked on virtually every ride. The only ride that had a wait time, (go figure) was Peter Pan we used one of the instant fast passes that were given to us by DVC and didn’t even wait the posted 35 minutes. By 4 pm we had done just about every ride that we really wanted to hit. It was time to go to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique for Leah’s makeover. The place was packed with small girls just Leah’s age all waiting to emulate their favorite Princess. To give you some back-story, Leah never wanted to have her hair done. She told me to cancel the appt a dozen or more times. I tried showing her other little girls online getting their hair done, but to no avail, she wanted nothing to do with it. Then one day we were talking about the Boutique and she mentioned that she didn’t want her hair to “stay that way.” I told her that her mother would be letting down her hair once the day was over. Her fears alieved, she finally agreed to go. Once that happened she got pretty excited about her appt. Now, while she had agreed to have her hair done she wanted nothing to do with the makeup or lip gloss. So much the better, she needn’t cross that road any sooner than need be. But she did have her hair done and she looked perfect in her Cinderella dress with her princess hair. She glowed. And when she got her picture done with Cinderella she was on top of the world. We then went up for our dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table. The dinner was wonderful and afterward we sat out to view the fireworks. That was it for our little princess, she was out for the night.

Day Five:

Stuart bore a bit of a grudge that yesterday was Leah’s day to shine. He was feeling a bit left out. I can’t blame him, after all he had to sit through a princess breakfast and now BBB and Cinderella’s Royal Table. He just wasn’t feeling the love. And at first, I was understanding. I told him that we’d go to the Lego store and look at legos and I’d look into the Bayou Pirate Cruise for him (even though when I first tried to broach the subject with him he stated flatly that he hated Pirates). And while dinosaurs are not his favorite subject, I thought that they were boyish enough that he would like to eat at T-Rex for lunch. This day was the second of our two rest days and I had some plans made. I should have just gone swimming and left it at that. It started with Breakfast. That turned out to be dismal. The Riverside Mill was packed and a confused mess. We got our food but they had messed up the order something awful. I didn’t want to brave the crowd again so we made do and vowed never to eat there for breakfast again. Then it was off to DTD. Well, by the time we got off the boat in the morning I wasn’t feeling too festive. Stuart and Leah fought the whole way. We shopped for a while and meanwhile I cooled down after having to referee the both of them. The trip was to the lego store was a bit better with all of us a bit happier. We did a bit more shopping and then we went to T-Rex. I had high hopes for this place. To give you an idea of the ambiance, it is like a prehistoric Rainforest Café. The décor was wonderful and the animations to the dinos was great. But the food was lackluster. Stuart didn’t like it much which set him off again and the rest of us were very tired by this point so it was back to the resort for a nap. Stuart decided that he wanted to play and not take a nap. It turned out to be a big mistake for him. Upon waking we leisurely got ready to go to DTD again trying to avoid the problems that we had earlier in the day. Well, I stopped by at the firepit to get a picture for a DIS poster named Andre who runs a website devoted to Port Orleans. And suddenly it was all-fired important to eat s’mores an hour before dinner. (These are the same two kids that twice previously snubbed our invites to join us at the campfire because they wanted to play in the playground). So already, things are not going too well. We get to Planet Hollywood and THEY ARE PACKED! Not busy, INSANELY BUSY! Our waiter looked like he just clocked in and hadn’t had the time to dress properly for his shift, he can’t tell us what the soup of the day is. (There wasn’t one, either it was all gone or there was some sort of goof up) The place was loud with all of the people and the incredibly loud music videos that were being played non-stop. The waiter looked confused when I told him we were on the dining plan and I needed to guide him a bit on the concept. (really, he wasn’t a bad fellow and he tried real hard, but it was just too much to deal with the noise and having to yell above it while giving directions) Finally we got to the show. And for the first time of the day we were all laughing and having a good time again. Stuart’s lack of sleep caught up with him about a third into the show and he was out for the count. Leah and Laura however loved every minute of it. So I figure I got my money’s worth out of it. On the way to the resort we had two very tired children to drop into bed. One of Leah’s last comments to me were, Daddy it was our rest day and we forgot to swim. Yep, I could have given up a large portion of today for a good swim.

Its a anti-histamin

Thanks Heather:thumbsup2

Just skimming. Nothing really to post. But I'll stop by to wreck your "whole" page. :rotfl2:

Oh my god Robin - Dont do that! - my heart jumped into my mouth in panic:scared1:

Been There, Done That!!!

Kids eh!

The Amazing Race is back on this coming Sunday night!!! :thumbsup2

So unfair! - we've only had 2 series:sad1: - I love that show too!

Im usually lurking because by the time i get caught up with reading all the pages i forget what i was going to post.

Multiquote:thumbsup2

Karen - How's the window?

Still broken:rotfl: ... see the next post.

Amen! I had severe allergic rhinitis since I was very young. They told my parents I would probably outgrow it which some people do. I didn't. Out of 210 skin tests I had reactions to 209 (at a plus 3 or higher) and they told me I'd become allergic to the 210th which I did. Thank goodness there are such improved medications for children. I took immunotherapy for 15 years, before they told me I was so allergic, shots/serum were not going to help me, so for me, treating the symptoms is all I can do. Hopefully Kira will not be anywhere near that allergic and will be able to be treated so it is not a lifetime thing.

oh my god 210 allergies!:scared1:

Well, the head teacher called me yesterday..with an update on the window saga.

Apparantly, she had been round every class in the juniors yesterday and 5 boys admitted they had been throwing snowballs through the school basketball hoop.... then spotted Ellis' in the back garden (its fixed to the wall just to the right of the patio windows)....

They continued to throw snowballs into the garden trying to get a "basket".

Unfortunately they werent a very a good aim...

She said most were in tears when they realized what they'd done. She's written to all the parents asking them to make their child forfeit their pocket money towards the cost of the repair. They also have to stay in today at lunchtime and write us a letter of apology. She's handled it very well and I appreciate the boys owning up to it all.

I have a friend coming round this afternoon who is going to wdw for the first time. Theres a whole group of them going and she's also getting married while they are out there.

She's asked me to look at her itinary and give her some tips.

Whats the one tip you'd give someone on their first visit?

I've thoguht of several things, but all your input would be great:thumbsup2

Good Morning Cruise Buddies........

"Happy Friday the 13th!!!"

See all you fine people later, off to get some exercising in, had a good day!!! :thumbsup2

oh my god 210 allergies!:scared1:

Yes, there is a well-reputed allergist in NC who was probably my 3rd one. I had the dubious distinction of being the most allergic adult he had ever seen. :rotfl2:

Glad the principal is taking care of this properly.

For your friends' trip - find out what they love about Disney and any little quirks then go from there. If say, one of them is a drawing enthusiast, make sure they stop by the little place on Main Street - in the fire station, maybe, where the animator sits daily. And since MK (well, all of them, but MK the best IMHO) has such a great set design leading up to "the reveal" make sure they do that first.

Have a great day all! Thanks for the wishes to State! I'm taking my computer!

OK, I'm running behind schedule this morning. but I wanted to get Hazel's Valentine's Day card printed off while she was still asleep. Below is a copy of the card. The pic on the top is the front of the card, and the pic below that is the inside of the card. I think Hazel will be quite pleased and surprised when she reads the card tomorrow!!! :thumbsup2

I haven't decided if I am going to give her the card before we go to Red Lobster for dinner, or give it to her after dinner while we are still at Red Lobster, what do you think?

OK, now I've got to get my rear in gear and get a move on it.........:wave2:

Two people were shot at the end of our last episode as well. The last words were, "it stopped" followed by the words, "fire"

That's the one he was watching too.

Why do they keep that theatre so cold. I always have to take a sweater in there no matter what time of day it is.

Mimi- Good luck in the competition sending:cheer2:

I loved WALL-E. I thought Bolt was ok but i will buy it when it comes out just because of the Hamster.

I was a slow day on this thread i was able to finally catch up.

Have a great night

Amanda

Hi Amanda - I agree with you about the cold theaters. It's a great place to go to get away from the Florida heat at times though.
