Good afternoon everyone. We are enjoying a visit from my parents who were originally supposed to go home this afternoon but with a foot and a half of snow predicted for their home, they are staying here another night. It's cool because I can watch the Giants/Panthers game with my dad and sister.

I'll be on periodically throughout the night.

They made a good decision. Portland had roughly 1 1/2 ft. The sun is out today but most schools are canceled & it's still very cold & windy.

Trixie Pancake, cub reporter, bringing you the scoop on today's EPCOT DISMeet!

I, being the last to arrive, due to unforeseen circumstances let's just say HERTZ truly lived up to their name today, perhaps they should just change their name to PAINFUL so it's even more descriptive, was greeted by Mimi and Karen wildly waving their arms to get my somewhat distracted attention. (whew, talk about a run on sentence!) I also was met by Cheryl and her daughter Rachel and was informed that the men were holding down a table for us. Inside was TikiMack, Al and Neil & Ellis, who is just cute as a little button. Mimi asked Ellis what was he was looking forward to most on the cruise and he said playing with Logan! Mimi made us little tree ornaments with the BASH logo on them and Karen brought Christmas cards for all. My contribution was Godiva chocolate Santas, which Ellis seemed to really enjoy. Many pictures were taken, unfortunately, none by me, since I was lucky just to get myself there, much less the camera. So you will have to wait until someone else posts! Mimi managed to track down an adorable French CM ooo la la! who told us we had to say 'fromage' instead of 'cheese' since we were in France I just hope he waited until we got to the end of the word and not when we were all saying 'fro' because that would look pretty silly. However, that should be soon, since we are all afraid on getting on Nancy's bad side ;) . I'm so glad that I was able to make it and I can't wait to see everyone again in October!!! :woohoo:

Unfortunately, Paige & Mel and their families were not able to make it.

Hi Everyone! Kathy - Great job on the report and the sale report!!! The sales were amazing - absolutely AMAZING!!!! I am posting a picture of the mini-meet sans Paige and Rob or Melody and Eb. This is not the most flattering picture of some of us (notice the halo over Kathy's head though - she is an angel!!!) but everyone had our French CM take one with their cameras, so maybe some of us are in different stages of fromage in some of the other pictures. :rotfl: It was really fun to saee Kathy again. I truly enjoyed meeting Karen, Neil, and Ellis as well as Cheryl, Al, and Rachel - what a beautiful young lady! It was short but sweet, and it has made me really look forward to October. Mack had a great time trying to get a soccer ball Ellis defended - the boy has skillz!!! True to form, Karen taught me some more English - England does not use cell phones but mobiles. :thumbsup2 I love learning! Our time was short, but thanks to our hosts, Kamy and Steve who plan to come on the Bash, it was WONDERful!!!!! Disney at Christmas is amazing!

Mack and I attended the Candlelight Processional that night after dinner at Rose and Crown - Karen had told me that as far as being true to its background, R&C was "Okay." I enjoyed my dinner very much - especially my husband's cheese tray. As to the Candlelight Processional - All I can say is I hope Disney always believes in keeping Christ in Chirstmas in such a grand way - the CP is absolutely something everyone should experience at least once. Abigail Breslin was delightful as the narrator, and there is something very special about having a young person read the Christmas story int hat fashion. The talent of the singers and the musicians was absolutely incredible, but the conductor was a force with which to be reckoned. He was outstanding!!! We even took video of him though I haven't looked at it yet to test quality. I'll post it if it is worthy of his talent.

Thank you guys for the trip report and picture. Where was it taken? While you guys were down there we were having 2 snow storms in 3 days up north.

Mimi great picture. We thought about you all on Sat. We have been very busy getting prepared for Christmas. I have found a poochie that I want to add to our family but Tommy is resisting. I will wear him down. :rolleyes1 I do not know why he always has to put up a fight. After 28 years you would think he would have realized he does not get to win.:lmao: It is cold her in KY. We do not have the snow or ice but it is 5 degrees which is very cold for here. I am ready for the cruise.
Heather - great tree. I better get to work.

Good Morning Bober's. We are on our last 2 days of school here, and the sun is peaking out for the first time in a few days. Just a warning East Coasters we just sent a HUGE storm your way, better bunker down. My sister in the Seattle area got a foot of snow, she said it was the most snow they have had there that she can remember.

Well enough of that here's a bit of warm stuff, my christmas tree, well my 1 of 3 the others to come later.

We just got over 2 big storms in New England. We saw yesterday's football game in Seattle - it was snowing pretty hard then. I think that storm is due to hit here Wed. but it might warm up enough to be rain. Just as long as it's not another ice storm like 10 days ago!

Thanks - though again, not a great picture of some of us... we took it next to the Boulangerie Patissiere (sp?) in the "Souvenirs de France" shop. They have several little tables and chairs, and since it isn't in the main thoroughfare, we thought it might be better for th 14+ people that might show up.

Leisha - Get that puppy... they are just the most wonderful furry blessings and they reduce blood pressure once they're house broken. :rotfl2:

Here either. We have over 33" so far this season, with 3"-5" coming tomorrow, 1"-2" tomorrow night, and a Winter Storm Watch with 4"-8" on Wednesday.

Our record for December is 49+". Not sure if we'll surpass that or not. We have another week left in this month.

Our normal is around 17" for the season through today.

We are well ahead of last year and we had the 2nd snowiest winter last year 100". Our record is 108"+. I think we may give that a run this year.

Yesterday was bitter cold (high of -4* with a windchill in the -20*+ range). With the strong winds came blowing snow. I have a 3 1/2 foot drift on my driveway. Up the block there is easily a 5-5.5 foot drift. Even the plow couldn't move it this morning. They'll have to get the front end loader out there today to move it before the snow starts flying tomorrow.

I'm so in need of a tropical vacation right about now.

Sounds good to me :goodvibes We can get together on Friday or Saturday night if that works for you :thumbsup2

Yeah, we don't do curling or politics ;) :lmao:
