Nancy, I'm sure you also have a nice beach scene as your wallpaper on your computer to look at as well. ;)

Does it look something like this:

With all this snow and bitter cold, this would be what I'd like to be doing right now, just relaxing in the warm weather and having a drink at the swim-up bar :thumbsup2 :

No, he can't. The sad thing is it will be his last "Santa" Christmas. He's already asking a lot of questions. We just want to get through this one.

There is a girl at school that keeps telling him and another kid there is NO Santa.

Next thing you know, she'll say Mickey isn't real. :sad1:

BTW: for those of you who don't know, DS is NOT that young. Those were taken in Jan 2002 (pics 1 and 3) and Jan 2003 (pics 2 and 4). He is going to be 9 this February. I just want my baby back.

Here's some more recent ones of the stud. In the last picture you can kinda see his tan lines. The kid gets dark. His big thing is to see how white his butt can get :rotfl: .

Thanks. Suz and I are already aware, and scared, of that. He just has to remember not to pack on the pounds like dad did.

But yes, the memories are great. He still talks about the trip in Jan 2003. It was the "Earthquake Trip". Manzanillo, more like Colima, got rocked by a huge earthquate when we were in Ixtapa (couple hundred miles to the south). Our hotel shook down there (fridge moved across the floor, etc).

The thing was, a couple years earlier, we were in Manzanillo that exact week. We even did a tour up to Colima. Don't even want to know what it was like there. Would have made for a VERY memorable trip.

But DS was just talking about that trip last night. Amazing what they remember while just 3 years old.

We're at a balmy 16* this morning here Dawg, bring out the suntan lotion!!! :lmao:

:lmao: talked to my mom last nite and she said its "only" supposed to be 63 in clearwater today. poor baby.:sad2: :lmao:

good morning all,

well it is a lovely -22 with a lovely -35 with the windchill.. sigh aslong as the snow stays till Christmas I will be happy.. just wish you could outside without your nostrals freezing shut! :scared1:

It only got up to 60 here in The Villages, Fl. today. I actually had to wear jeans! :scared1:

Hi Everyone! Kathy - Great job on the report and the sale report!!! The sales were amazing - absolutely AMAZING!!!! I am posting a picture of the mini-meet sans Paige and Rob or Melody and Eb. This is not the most flattering picture of some of us (notice the halo over Kathy's head though - she is an angel!!!) but everyone had our French CM take one with their cameras, so maybe some of us are in different stages of fromage in some of the other pictures. :rotfl: It was really fun to saee Kathy again. I truly enjoyed meeting Karen, Neil, and Ellis as well as Cheryl, Al, and Rachel - what a beautiful young lady! It was short but sweet, and it has made me really look forward to October. Mack had a great time trying to get a soccer ball Ellis defended - the boy has skillz!!! True to form, Karen taught me some more English - England does not use cell phones but mobiles. :thumbsup2 I love learning! Our time was short, but thanks to our hosts, Kamy and Steve who plan to come on the Bash, it was WONDERful!!!!! Disney at Christmas is amazing!

Mack and I attended the Candlelight Processional that night after dinner at Rose and Crown - Karen had told me that as far as being true to its background, R&C was "Okay." I enjoyed my dinner very much - especially my husband's cheese tray. As to the Candlelight Processional - All I can say is I hope Disney always believes in keeping Christ in Chirstmas in such a grand way - the CP is absolutely something everyone should experience at least once. Abigail Breslin was delightful as the narrator, and there is something very special about having a young person read the Christmas story int hat fashion. The talent of the singers and the musicians was absolutely incredible, but the conductor was a force with which to be reckoned. He was outstanding!!! We even took video of him though I haven't looked at it yet to test quality. I'll post it if it is worthy of his talent.

Now for the meet picture -

:sad2: Wow, do I look melted or what??? Ewwwww!!! For those of you who have never met me, I don't usually look that bad - that's what look like after traveling 950 miles to see my DIS friends :flower3:

Thank you guys for the trip report and picture. Where was it taken? While you guys were down there we were having 2 snow storms in 3 days up north.

NK

Yup - that would be when it was taken. :rolleyes1

Tommy thought that too. Walt is coming home with me tonight. I will post pics. He is a 5 year old basset hound. He will get along great with our Jack Russell. :dance3:

Good for you, Leisha! Can't wait to see the pictures!

I bet she is, I hear she is not so picky..hmmm wait a sec.. mwhahahaha :lmao: :thumbsup2

She's just pretending to listen... :rolleyes1

Ooooh me likey!!!

We have record snowfalls already and it's not going stop! :guilty:

The federal agency has been keeping track of snow accumulation since 1955, and as of Sunday, records show 29 centimetres of snow have gathered on the ground in the Calgary area this winter - the highest amount since data collection started.

Prior to this year, the record accumulation by Dec. 21 was 19 centimetres, recorded in 1995

Wow, is he ever tall!!!

are those first visit buttons you guys are wearing???
Yes - it was our first stay at AKV! We always have gotten first visit buttons when we stay at a resort for the first time - we have a collection of them with each resort written on the back. VB started it for us - each other resort has given us first visit buttons on our first stay, nice memento!

There is a girl at school that keeps telling him and another kid there is NO Santa.

We always told our kids that as long as they believed, Santa would come. The funny thing is, we never told them Santa was real - we made sure we didn't. We always told them we believed in the spirit of giving, and Santa represented that spirit. We left out cookies and milk that always got eaten, and there have always been presents at our house, that truth be told - neither of us knew how they got there. I guess Santa really is in your heart. A man in a red suit? Maybe not, but our kids have always known there is a spirit of giving that blows our minds each year.

:sad2: Wow, do I look melted or what??? Ewwwww!!! For those of you who have never met me, I don't usually look that bad - that's what look like after traveling 950 miles to see my DIS friends :flower3:

You do NOT look melted, but you and I both got caught in different parts of fromage in this one. I am hoping someone else has a picture where he waited till the end of the word to snap it. :cool1: You did have to race or rather sprint to the finish though - you were a trooper!!!!!

Isn't there 2.54 centimetres to one inch? That would only be about 11.5 inches of snow then. That was last Friday's dump. :sad2: We're expecting 7.6 cm - 12.7 cm tomorrow and 10.2 cm - 20.3 cm on Wednesday. I don't think it is ever going to stop here.

I did see where all of Canada will have a white Christmas though. Suz always wishes for one, but the odds are that we usually don't have one. Most people think it's strange when we don't have snow for Christmas.

Wow, is he ever tall!!!

He really hasn't grown much. He is still about 51"-52". He is just so skinning and lanky looking. I hope he gets taller than me though (I'm 5' 10"). I think he's just hoping to get to 54" by next summer so he can ride more roller coasters at Six Flags. :thumbsup2

LOL you coming in for it?..cause your always welcome.. just be careful we are rowdy Canadians..lol :woohoo: and when we play games night it's girls against boys... and ahem.. girls rule!! :woohoo: :lmao: so you would be on the winning team atleast..lol

Aww thanks Bernie. I sure wish Calgary was closer to Milwaukee. I'd be there often if it was. :)
