Karen--your baby is becoming a big boy! He has the most beautiful eyes--watch out for the girls!:rotfl:

Looks like y'all had a really nice time.:goodvibes

Well, everyone, I'm actually going to get out of pajamas today and get dressed in real clothes (jeans and a tink sweatshirt) and get a little light housework done. Y'all have a great day!:thumbsup2

I have sent a condolance card in todays post to Heather off all the Bobbers.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for doing this.:)

I have been reading the thread and laughing to the point people are thinking I am ready to go off the deep end especially when I mentioned that I was waiting for the fart fairy. :rotfl2:

Good morning all,

just a quick hi and hope everyone is well

I thought that young man looked like he could be yours.

Very amazing that Isabelle lives with only that little bit on intestine!
Very lucky little girl:hug:

Yes she is. I made a comment on how they needed to win the lottery with all the pictures the photo people were taking and SIL said I already won the lottery- we got to keep Isabelle.! So again the fool was crying...

Take it slow, you need to save your strength for Mickey!

Sean - My students are writing about the dog and deer picture today. They are all wondering what is in the young lady's hand. Do you know?

My new size 34 work pants just arrived, I tried on a pair and they fit real nice............:yay: :yay: :yay:

This time last year I was in size 38.......:rolleyes1

Time to head back to work..........:wave2:

You guys don't have Christmas crackers?...:confused3 These Americans are so uncouth....:snooty:

I didn't know that either! We have xmas crackers every year. In fact, I have an extra box from the year before last still sitting in my pantry :rolleyes1

They are in every store at Christmastime, funny that you guys don't have them...learn something new every day I guess. ;)

Some of my fave xmas pics are with the paper crowns (that come in some of the crackers) on our heads:lmao:

Did I ever tell you guys how much I hate computers???? :headache: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Rob spent 3 hours fixing my computer last night and we thought it was all fixed and now my motherboard has crashed :sad2: :guilty:

GRRRRR

What is up with me and computers this year???

Hi everyone

Just a quick drive by post. I have a snow day today  we are in the midst of a storm that started out as sleet and freezing rain and then changed to snow. I wasn't far from home this morning when my boss called me and said I could stay home and not have to drive all the way in in the snow :thumbsup2 She said I could work on the staff schedule for Jan. and start entering it in the computer from home, seeing how I have been working a lot of extra days lately she said to then enjoy the rest of the day off :thumbsup2

I'm still working on making some Christmas presents and cards and decorating and cleaning the house for the holidays. We come home from WDW on the 28th and then we are having my brothers and sisters and their families over for our family Christmas celebration on New Years Day, I must be crazy having 23 people over shortly after coming home from vacation. Rachel and Al will help get ready for that but I want to have as much done as possible before we leave next week Fri. so that hasn't left much time at all for DISing.

Hugs :grouphug: :grouphug:, prayers and pixiedust: pixiedust: to those that need them and sorry if I've missed anyones birthday or anniversary.

My favorite Christmas goodie is fudge. What's everyone else's?

Carrot sticks and water. YUMMMMMMM! :goodvibes

Hmmmm, I must have unconsciously used my fart fairy skills to clear the thread. :rotfl2:

Guess I'll go to work and try to find a way to squash this $3.6 million airball that's sitting on my desk. :scared1:

Hope everyone has a nice day. I'm going to resurface for air on Friday night ... :goodvibes

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Very nice. :goodvibes

You can sit by me, smelly.

Me too B.

I meant to tell y'all--Sunday night was spaghetti, Monday night was Chicken pastries (kinda like pot pie) with peas and rice, and tonight-----Shrimp Pad Thai!!! I am so excited--Giap is cooking for us tonight. She is an awesome cook, and I hardly ever get to eat authentic Thai food. Like I said--I love my friends. I think after the new year, we will have to have a party and I will have to cook a huge gumbo for everyone....maybe for Mardi Gras.

DISmeet at Sistah P's house!!!

I too love friends but unlike Jeff i can't eat a full one.....:rotfl2:

Oh my! :scared1:

I have sent a condolance card in todays post to Heather off all the Bobbers.

Thank you from one of the uncouth Americans. :rotfl2: I think Heather will receive double prayers from a few us now. It was very sweet of you to include everyone Karen.

Don't we live in the same place Cheryl?? How come I didn't get a snow day? Oh yeah, I forgot...I work for the Grinch! :headache:

Here's another:

Amaretto Cherry Nut Bread

1 ½ c flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ c soft butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
½ c Amaretto
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c sour or bing cherries halved. (I used canned)

Sift dry ingredients. Cream sugar & butter. Add eggs. Fold in dry ingredients, Amaretto, nuts, and cherries. Pour into greased 9 x 5 loaf pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Amaretto Glaze

6 tbl sugar
6 tbl Amaretto

Mix together and let stand until sugar dissolves. Poke holes in warm bread and pour glaze over the top.

Hmmmm, both recipes involved alcohol of some sort. :scared1:

OK, I'm done talking to myself. You can all come out now. :goodvibes
