At least you've started!

Do you ship stuff here ahead of your arrival? Where did you decide to stay this year?

No, we dont ship ahead... tha parcel would probably arrive waaaaaay after we'd left to come home:rolleyes:

Last year I sent 2 items on the same day to the USA. One was a birthday card that arrived too early:rolleyes1 ,.... the other was a small packet which contained photos - that arrived about 3 months after I posted it:scared1: - 3 months:scared1:

Karen, wouldn't it have been easier to just pick up a $15-$20 tree here once you're in the states from a Wal-greens or something? How big of one are you bringing?

You could have then donated it to a charity before leaving.

Just a thought.

Its only a little 3 foot tree:cutie: - I wont be bringing it home - I'll see if the cleaning lady wants it on our last day. I can tie her tip to the top of hte tree where the star normally goes:goodvibes

Good morning to anyone who is out there right now. And good afternoon to our friends across the pond.

Well, today starts with Kristin getting over here by 8:00 am. (Yeah, right!).:goodvibes We have the floor plan to finish making sure we leave an extra table for the wedding crashers, place cards (thanks Cass....wait until you see what she did for us), a run to the caterer with table runners after I iron them all :woohoo: , a run to the baker to pay for the extra pastries Kristin ordered for a 10:00 pm snack on Saturday, finish her crystal tree, church programs,........takes deep breath........and the hairdresser for me by 4:30. :scared:

Anyone in the neighborhood feel free to stop in and take a few things off of our plates today. :worship:

On Monday, Jesse's mom got a voice mail at work (it was cowardly left on Saturday when she doesn't work) telling her that two people who previously answered no now decided they want to come. Not only the two of them but their 3 adult children who were NOT invited to begin with!!! Respond cards were due November 1st and they call on the 15th??? What the heck? Doesn't anyone have any wedding ettitquette anymore? We had over 20 people respond well after the due date and some not at all but we think they are coming. Rant over. :flower3:

I'll check in here and there but probably not much anymore until after the wedding.

Oh yeah, since I know he lurks:

:cheer2: Happy Birthday, November 20th, to my dear sweet son Tony! :cheer2:

Firstly ....:scared1: thats a busy day Nancy:scared1:

2ndly - Happy birthday Tony:goodvibes

3rdly - Hope everything goes smoothly for you all in the last stages of planning. I wish I was closer -I'd be happy to help.

Have you ever tried?...you'd be surprised at what you can do. As for Dad...thank you.

erm.... I struggle with a small bunch from ASDA:lmao:

Afternoon Karen:rotfl2:

GOOD AFTERNOON:goodvibes

Yes, but I didn't know and as we were all linked, I caused the problem. We're linking with Robin & Mike for dinner, but will wait till we've done our tour ressies to link up

Cool! - they were our dinner neighbours last year. I hope we all get in the same area again this year.

Topsiders was good for an evening meal if you don't fancy any of the menus in the main dining rooms.

Never got to try it..... one more thing to add to my list:rolleyes1

Don't think Rick and I will bother with Palo's this trip.

Really? - how can you turn down grape and blue cheese pizza:scared1: I dream about it:rolleyes1

Good morning everyone. It is a very brisk morning here. I am not walking the kids to the bus, but driving them in a heated car instead. The last couple of morning have been tolerable, but not today!

I am thinking we will just have Palo brunch as a family. Thats if we even do it at all. Last cruise, DS wouldn't stay in the club too long. I am hoping that the 3 years since the last cruise he has matured enough to have a good time and enjoy himself. At the very least, perhaps he will know some of your children after swimming at the pool at the Radisson on Friday night. :thumbsup2 That way, he will be having fun with kids he knows.

I cant rememebr Chris - how old is your ds? If he's 8 or older he'll be in the same club as mine and Jeff's, if younger the same as Jen's. Either way, get him chatting before the cruise so he has a ready made friend. I remember last time, none of our kids would come out of the club:eek: He can email my ds if he'd like to with a few photos etc and he'll have a familiar face to say hi to.:goodvibes

I'm all full up and sleepy

Just been to the pub for lunch:rolleyes1

I may have a little snooze before the munchkin finishes school;)

OK, quickly, one more time here today....

Last week I received two Paul Deen cookbooks in the mail in error. I ordered one. The company is letting me keep the extra book. :cheer2: Since there is no need for two of them, does anyone want it? Now before you answer, it may already be spoken for, but just in case it isn't, it's free to a good home.

Just let me know via pm plz.

OK, MG over and out!! :goodvibes

:rotfl:
Well, as long as I don't have to cut your food or clean up your mess on the floor underneath you, I think we're good! :rotfl2:
I'm guessing that the 'romance' angle would be pretty well shot if 30 BOBers walked in to Palo at the same time as you! :lmao:

No need to worry Nancy. I think the people that have cruised with Frank will attest to the fact that he is a pretty regular guy. He is also Joanne's walking buddy.

Yes he was fun, you never would know he was a priest. We walked the deck every morning. The pope stories were fun. I wish he was coming he was great company every morning while the rest of the ship was sleeping.

Whew! Finally all caught up. This a very talkative bunch. I feel like a lurker :)

It is really cold here this morning! The high today is only 33. Brrrrrrr!

I need to start the Thanksgiving food that I need to take to my Mom's since next week will be crazy at work. (Stuffing, german chocolate cake and cheese cake). I figured that I could make the stuffing then freeze it. I will add broth to it on Tday to make sure that it is moist. Does that sound like it will work? On top of that, I have to coordinate all the food for my store for the weekend. Friday is pizza, cause it's easy. Saturday is make your own nachos and Sunday will be grilled cheese and speghattios (sp?)

If anyone is looking for a Wii, try Best Buy. My store currently has over 50 of them.

Thanks for making me a Pancake sister! I feel so honored :)

Annette :)

Oh yeah, since I know he lurks:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY!!!

If I remember rightly, didn't you used to call each new thread a different name?

No. We weren't under the limited thread rules at the time. I just would keep going in and change the tail end of the name to something funny. When ever something popped into my head. It would always be the "10/23/2009 Bash On the Boat" and then something silly after that. I think I did about 2 or 3 DOZEN different tags on there. I would just change it and see who would be the first to notice. Kinda became a game. :rotfl:

Topsiders was good for an evening meal if you don't fancy any of the menus in the main dining rooms.

We did topsiders twice on the Repo. It was good. I can't remember the night we all went up there (port or menu).

Chris,

If you tell the clubs that you're going to Palo, they will try to encourage your child to stay in the club if they want to leave. They are really good about that.

However for us, and I think Karen would agree, we can't get our son out of the club. Suz and I usually have to draw straws to see who will stay up to go pick him up. He out lasts us on the cruise and is never really tired. Don't know how he does it. Must be all the excitement.

Sorry, Jen. I went to bed early and just saw your post.

The Pancake Sisters originated on the SSMC08 thread. A couple of weeks before the cruise, we were all getting a little silly on the thread and Mary (WDWLVR, unfortunately not joining us on the cruise) started posting all these crazy pirate smilies. Then her husband Mark, said 'how about a bunny with a pancake on it's head?' and posted the bunny that you see in my siggie. Turns out it is based on Oolong, Performance Bunny, who was an internet sensation, famous for balancing things on his head. We thought he was so cute, we adopted him as our mascot. During brunch at Palo, we convinced our confused yet eager to please waiter Sean to bring us 4 buttermilk pancakes (along with some waxed paper as to not muss our hair) and we had the now infamous picture taken.

So here's a complete list, SO FAR, including new members:

Tikimimi - Mimi - Pixie
danandnan - Nancy K - Doxie (new member)
JOANNEL - Joanne - Dixie
goslingl - Leisha - Bixie (new member)
njprincess - Kathy - Trixie
WDWLVR - Mary - Mixie (sadly not joining us on this cruise)
acourtwdw - Annette - Moxie (new member)
acourtdwd2 - Amanda - Roxie (new member)

So, now that you know the story, would you like to join us? You must be willing to be photographed with a pancake on your head. You can pick your own name as long as it ends in 'xie' or we can pick one for you. We will have our official induction ceremony at one of the onboard meets and will take a new Pancake Sister photo.

Are there any other ladies who would like to join us? :flower3: Just drop me a PM.

Kathy,

I have linked to your post now in the first post so people can reference this from there (and on future threads). Thanks for posting.

I'm sure you know this Chris, but no one under 18 on Palo. Oh, duh, that's what you meant about your son staying in the club. Never mind!

I was thinking the same thing at first, even went to page 1 to see who he was traveling with (saw that his parents and sister are coming). Then I saw the part about the clubs and knew he knew the rule. Had me going though.

We've pretty much came to the conclusion that there will be some guests that will pull a fast one on us and even some who will wander in from the party that is going on across the park. I did tell our reception rep that I intend on sending all my guests over to the other party for their beverages. Cheaper for me that way! She didn't find it quite as humorous as I did. :rotfl2:

You should have stole some of those DCL excursion stickers to put on everyone at your party. If they don't have a "mickey" sticker, just hit them with the "paddle of power". :rotfl2:

GOOOOOODDD MORRNIIINNGGGG DIS'ers

I hope all is well with everyone today I will be popping in and out (cause I am at work) good news is I get taken out for lunch today by a supplier so long lunch here I come! woohoo!
