I've started packing

Got half a case packed so far ... no clothes in yet, but my christmas tree went in first - You can tell I have my priorites right

Karen, wouldn't it have been easier to just pick up a $15-$20 tree here once you're in the states from a Wal-greens or something? How big of one are you bringing?

You could have then donated it to a charity before leaving.

Just a thought.

Good morning everybody . Well I guess early winter is here in Maine . It's very cold here this morning with the wind chill it's 17 degrees.
Joanne You caught me last night . I was up later than usual. Nancy was in the living room watching The Biggest Loser and I was watching Celtic Basketball and playing games on the computer in the DEN ie computer room.

Good morning to anyone who is out there right now. And good afternoon to our friends across the pond.

Well, today starts with Kristin getting over here by 8:00 am. (Yeah, right!). We have the floor plan to finish making sure we leave an extra table for the wedding crashers, place cards (thanks Cass....wait until you see what she did for us), a run to the caterer with table runners after I iron them all , a run to the baker to pay for the extra pastries Kristin ordered for a 10:00 pm snack on Saturday, finish her crystal tree, church programs,........takes deep breath........and the hairdresser for me by 4:30.

Anyone in the neighborhood feel free to stop in and take a few things off of our plates today.

On Monday, Jesse's mom got a voice mail at work (it was cowardly left on Saturday when she doesn't work) telling her that two people who previously answered no now decided they want to come. Not only the two of them but their 3 adult children who were NOT invited to begin with!!! Respond cards were due November 1st and they call on the 15th??? What the heck? Doesn't anyone have any wedding ettitquette anymore? We had over 20 people respond well after the due date and some not at all but we think they are coming. Rant over.

I'll check in here and there but probably not much anymore until after the wedding.

Dan, was Nancy K pleased with last nights results on Biggest Loser? I was so disappointed that Amy didn't send Vicky packing. I do hope she is the next one out although it doesn't appear so from the previews. Who is Nancy K cheering for on the show??

I'll chime in here ... Jay and I were furious that Amy didn't send Vicki packing. That woman is a psycho and she's the one who can't be trusted. Ugh, Amy went from smart to stupid in the span of seven days - I think that may be a record.

Becky or Steve will have to confirm, but I believe they are down in the northern LA area, so they shouldn't be affected by them.

However, there is a lot of damage from them.

It looked like it covered a huge area of southern CA. The news was talking about power outages.

We use to have many different names for the cruise. I can't remember them all, but every few days on the first thread, before we were limited to 250 pages, I use to change the name to something new - always funny.

Maybe some of the people who remember them can post what they were.

If I remember rightly, didn't you used to call each new thread a different name?

We had a dogsitter that stayed with our dog, but she passed away. The sitter and not the dog. Jasmine (my Brittany) is laying alongside me at the moment. She may have to go to the kennel for the cruise.

Oh, that's too bad. I have a retired couple that comes in everyday to feed the kitties and check the house. They chrage $20/day which is way cheaper than the kennel (my kitties are too athletic & mobile for the kennel). Unfortunately, I just found out that the husband has Alzheimer's, so I guess I should start looking for someone new

Exactly. Becky and I were IMing each other and would take turns going in. She got in to one hard one and booked it for both of us. I think I did one too in Acapulco (which we eventually cancelled).

Yes, but I didn't know and as we were all linked, I caused the problem. We're linking with Robin & Mike for dinner, but will wait till we've done our tour ressies to link up

Brunch is actually very good. Suz would pick it over dinner if she could only have one.

As for missing a dinner, I always plan Palo for the night of the Master Chef menu. Don't like that one.

Topsiders was good for an evening meal if you don't fancy any of the menus in the main dining rooms.
