If we do AKV we can't book until March 31 anyway. By then we might have decided whether to drive or fly. The advantage with driving is that it's much easier to pack. Getting all the stuff in limited luggage is quite a pain! But then flying is so much faster. We're batting around several different combinations.

Actually, I think it's all been very exciting! So very close in the polls it's kind of like being on the edge of your seat for the ending of a very good movie

I'm thinking that even if the candidate I want wins I'll be bumming that all the excitement is over

Wow, that's quite a long drive from Maine! Have you ever done it before? how long does it take?

We have never done it but we know many people who have. It's about 24 hours driving time - most split it over 3 days/2 nights. Maybe Delaware the first night, SC the second. That's why we're still up in the air - and also because next Oct. is too far away to make airline ressies - anything can change in that amount of time. So when it gets closer......

Wow, Steve, this is AWESOME! I loved Wizards in Winter (so did my kitty Sasha, she sat and watched it with me and she hardly ever sits still). I actually saw those guys in concert last December and between the music and the lights and the pyrotechnics, it was absolutely breathtaking!

I also loved the Carol of the Bells - that was always a fun song to sing back in high school chorus.

Can't wait to see what you come up with this year!

I don't think I have ever been so non-plussed about an election! I knwo history is being made this time no matter what, but geez, I have not enjoyed this election at all.

I know our old house in NC was supposedly at the half-way point - at exit 150. Our house was about 3 miles from the exit. There is a little town there called Goldrock. It was such a tiny town, that being the half-way point almsot gave them the feeling of importance. We lived in Whitakers.

I failed to get an "I voted" sticker at our mock election today at school. The plan was to use it to get my free coffee in the morning, because I can't vote till after cheerleading practice tomorrow evening. I should get to the poll around 6:15 - yippee. Non-plused again!

Well, I finally caught up, but I bet by the time I hit submit, I'll be behind again!

According to the email I got from Starbucks all you have to do is go in and tell them that you voted. No proof needed.
