So a bunch of questions and comments for everyone. I see that someone has already arranged for a group discount at the Radisson. Do not remember who, but thnak you very much. What is the deadline for adding our names to that list? I am pretty sure we will end up doing that. Also has anyone done there rental vehicle yet? We are looking at doing two mini vans. We will rent through one of the companys with a drop off near the port. We are flying in Friday and leaving Sunday. So we are doing the one way rental Friday and one way Saturday. We will probably be staying at an all star resort on Saturday, and we will probably also be doing the Trick or Treat Saturday. Is everyone flying in Friday? That is the plan for most of my family. Do we know what is needed for group discount? Any time frame in mind for people? I am so excited about this cruise. I wish it was here already. But then we would not have another year to do posts.

We arent' sure if we are flying or driving yet. That will change our plans depending on what we do. i know we want to get there early and we have reservations at the Radisson on Fri. night. I would like to hit AK on Friday til it closes then head over to the Radisson. We will probably be going to MNSSHP on the 31st.

That was our original plan--to drive, but I did not want to take extra days off work, and screw around with traffic. Two days of driving is enough for me since this will be a cruise, and I plan to Drink and Float.

Right now, we plan on drving down Friday after work. I teach so getting 5 days off then is hard. More than that might be next to impossible. We plan to stay at the Radisson. After the cruise we plan to do MNSSHP for the first time. Is this your first cruise ever?

I hope you got lots of orders! I love Pampered Chef things. My stoneware pieces are my favorites. They may be heavy, but they surely do cook well!

I did ok. Several people from my work want to order. So that will help out. I'm hoping to get several things for free. Maybe even get some Christmas presents.

OOPS. I am really sorry. Only Andy and Jeff really steal people's FOs.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just joking guys.:thumbsup2

Its okay, I am hoping to get at least one a week in. Considering that I never get off work at the same time. I just love being part of management. Plus I am also a captain at a volunteer Fire Department, so you never know when the pager is going to go off. And now with the snow getting ready to fall, it is sure to be busy.

Good evening to this thread. I started reading page one from the first post of messages and realized that page 168 was only up to December of 2007. So I decided that I would just say forget it and start reading here. Well some of you might recognize my screen name. I was originally slated to be on the KK1 cruise, but had to cancel due to us expecting an addition to our family. While, it was a great joy knowing that my wife was expecting it was very sad knowing that I would not be able to go on the cruise, especially with the great group of talkative people that were on here. Not to mention that there are a whole plane load of Wisconsin people. Well my cousin and her boyfriend and two kids and my aunt and uncle and dad did go on the KK1 cruise, but they were not very active on here. However, my cousin ( screen name Goofy4Ever ) will probably be somewhat talkative on here. Her boyfriend thinks it is retarded. Little does he know. My wife on the other hand, expects me to read the whole dang thread, and every one of them. :surfweb: Is this available on audiobook? LOl. I can officially say that I am addicted, as I am doing most of the pre-cruise planning.

Welcome aboard Chris, Melissa and Paige :woohoo:

You're from Menomonee Falls??? I love you guys already :goodvibes ;)

PM on it's way :thumbsup2

I know you are asking CHris about this but I just wanted to say that the MNSSHP is awesome. We love it. We have only done it twice but really enjoyed it.

Yup first cruise ever. My wife was due in November when we were suppose to go on the 10/20/07 cruise, but we decided to cancel and not take a chance on giving birth on a cruise ship.

We just got in. Been gone all afternoon to grandsons hockey. We haven't had a chance to get on because just before Nancy and I went hockey this afternoon we lost power didn't get back until supper time. Had chance to send Mimi a quick PM before we went to #2 son's to have ice cream with grandkids. Needless to say we have been busy today and we have a new thread. Now off to TV to watch the PATS

danandnan

Go Patriots!! I just had to look up who #42 is. My goodness. His name is long. Green-Ellis, Ben Jarvus. I called my mother but she said she thought he had three names. She could not remember it totally, only part of his name. Di

You sound like a busy guy. just jump in and chat when you can.

I gotta jump in here. I went to visit one of my friends in North Dakota a few years ago, and we drove across the state, and through South Dakota, to attend the wedding of another friend in the western part of the state. Growing up on Long Island I can safely say that I had never been anywhere where you can drive for an hour without seeing another live human (of course, there was the Tin Can Family along the Enchanted Highway in SD :lmao: )!

If that wasn't the middle of nowhere, you could sure see it from there!

The Black Hills were beautiful though, so was Crazy Horse.

I have issues with Kansas ... when I was in high school my parents took me to Colorado for a week-long vacation and we drove there. My God ... I didn't think Kansas would ever end. The scenery at mile marker 1 and mile marker 400 was almost exactly the same. :lmao:

Try driving the long way across Montana sometime....that's the state I thought would never end!!! When I was young we lived in North Dakota (the Badlands are gorgeous BTW!) and we would drive to Washington State to visit my mom's family (north of Seattle!).

Harrison wore his Patriots football outfit all day. Including the helmet. He got it last year for Christmas. He got Patriots because it is Arielhead's DS's fav team and he had one, so that way they could be on the same team.:thumbsup2

No, thank you really - we want to hear. We are not big into Halloween, but we want to see it all decorated and see what it is like. I am excited about it. I wish we could do it before the cruise, but I really can't take off and go any earlier.

Oh I love to have first-time cruisers around! This will only be our 4th, but we were bitten hard the first time!

I did the MNSSHP when I was in Florida in October of 2006. I had a great time doing it. Well worth the money.

Like I said, we tweaked what Jen had posted. This is what we used: 6 boneless chicken thighs, 1 package of Italian Salad Dressing mix, 1 can of low fat chicken broth. We cooked those items in a crock pot for several hours on low heat. We then added the package of Knorr's cheddar broccoli rice, let it cook on low for 30 minutes, then on high for another 30 minutes.

I could not believe how good it tasted. At first Hazel was going to make the rice in the microwave. I said "Let's add it in the crock pot and see what happens." I'm so glad we did that!!! :goodvibes

Mmmm...sounds good! I may have to try that variation sometime....

Glad you liked the chicken recipe - it's one of my favorites because it can:
-cook all day ( I have let it go on low for 11-12 hours if needed)
-I can get it prepped in 5 minutes before I go to work
-both my boys like it!

I love anything I can throw together before work that quickly! I think my husband would eat it too!

Howdy Chris, Melissa and Paige

Welcome!!!!

I am Di and my DH is Walt. We are from San Antonio, Texas.

We are a very active group and love to talk and laugh. Walt and I went on the last cruise in October, 2007. We had a great time and met lots of nice people. These people will be on the cruise again with us in October, 2009. There are some new people whom I only know by talking on the thread. I can't wait to meet them next October. Oh, by the way Walt and I were just up in Milwaukee for 5 days for the 105 Harley birthday party. We had a great time. Di
