Kathy love don't be fooled their are some very devious people out there who will stop at nothing to steal your F.O.......:rolleyes1

PS...As you know am a gent and would never stoup so low as to do such a thing....:snooty:

I certainly appreciate the warning Sir Chris (you said you were a gent, right ;) )

But if my F.O. gets stolen, it was never really mine to begin with. :sad2: How philosophical is that? I think I hear strings playing in the background :rolleyes1

The punishment was greater because he lied to us instead of us and we had to find out what he did. We always tell him it will be a lot less if he always comes to us first.

It's a hard lesson to learn for sure. But we feel the same way here. If I catch them in a lie, I throw the book at them. So far, it works....HaHa I think.....

We're exactly the same. Telling a lie is worse than the initial crime. The other day he came home and hid his lunch from his lunchbox in the bin then told me he'd eaten it earlier. When I found it in the bin later I was:mad:

It had been going on for a week - his food remaining in his lunchbox - ie he'd not bothered eating hardly anything all day:eek: , so he thought he was being smart:rolleyes: ... he didnt realize his mom is smarter:rolleyes1 :lmao:
Kids eh!

"You have puppies too afeg?"

No Nancy dear but Mike's statement was all i needed to finish my two year investigation has to how Mike copped for Robin in the first place......She fell for puppy love.....:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Morning All!

Kathy - Somewhere I missed the comment about me playing guitar hero with the grandkids - right none yet - but geez, I hope I can play it with them or whatever is the thing of that time. I don't want to grow up. I believe!

Climbing bleachers is a great step aerobics program!!

Good morning! Had a busy day yesterday. I spent some time with my granddaughter since there was no school. We played Candy Land & Chutes & Ladders. It's that some classics just keep on going! One of the boys spent the day helping Grampa clean up leaves.

I'm surprised that Circuit City didn't honor someone's gift card. All the press that I have read said that it would be business as normal for the customers. Retailers love it when people use GC since most people spend $2 for every $1 on the GC. GC usage is what gets a lot of retailers by in Jan and Feb. Hmmm.... have to check with my CC friends to see what is going on with GC.

There was an article in our business section of our Sunday paper, either this past weekend or the one before, that spoke of this situation. It happening more and more. I'll have to see if I can locate that article.

You figure, with margins as thin as they are in retail, even if $2 for every $1, $1 for every $0 is better.

If they say they're taking them, let me know what store they're at. I'm sure my DW boss will call there and order something immediately.

This is from the CC press release:

Circuit City will continue to honor its customer commitments and serve its guests through 566 stores in 153 U.S. media markets, via its Web site at www.circuitcity.com and via phone at 1-800-THE-CITY (1-800-843-2489). During this transitional period, Circuit City is executing a plan to minimize disruption to the operations of stores that are remaining open.

You may want to have her call the 800 number to find out where the GC can be used. It wouldn't make any sense not to honor it, esp since their website is accepting them.

Well I think I am ready for the start of my busy season tomorrow. I just put new cards in the signs on my stands. I checked my equipment and now fixing the bells that broke last year. The "dingers" fall out and need replaced frequently.

I will tell my DW to tell her boss to try it again then.

We'll see what they say this time.

However, there are many companies out there that will not honor gift cards if they are in bankruptcy.
