10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #9

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I've been enjoying my vacation and the internet access has been sparse. (I still have a couple of days left!) I'll post a few pics of our adventures.

We started our vacation in Las Vegas. I had a Wedding that I wanted to go to and I got a killer deal on a hotel room so we did a bunch of sight-seeing for 5 days!

I had just got an email that the Hyatt is discontinuing the Star Trek Experience. Stuart and I had to make last time ever trip to the attraction.

You shall be Assimilated! Resistance is Futile!

I couldn't get Stuart to pose next to the Klingon so... next best thing... I handed him the camera and posed myself. I'm such a nerd.

Stuart make sure that phaser is set to Kill!

We finally arrived at the Happiest Place on Earth on Wednesday. I decided to try the Howard Johnson's that nearly everyone on the DIS recommends. I really like this place. The room is incredible! I'll have to take a pic and post it. The grounds are nicely landscaped. And the pics of the Childrens playground (Castaway Cove) will have to speak for themselves.

When the crows nest fills with water it empties and drenches all who are nearby!

As if the bucket wasn't enough... The children are given watercannons!

Leah found the 100+ gallons of water crashing onto her head a bit threatening, so she wisely retreated to the kiddie pool. At a foot and a half it is just right for her.

Once we did hit the park, The kids made a bee line for the merry-go-round. Amazes me at how much they like this. I've never liked them much. But Leah could spend all day on one.

Stuart, Leah, and Ethan meeting Mickey. Sadly, Ethan won't be joining us on the upcoming cruise. My SIL had to duck out due to school considerations.

Well, tomorrow, we celebrate Stuart's Birthday at Disneyland. He's very charged up over it. I told him that he will be able to plan our entire day in the park.

We just got back from a 300 mile bike trip in the Texas Hill Country. We had a blast. We went with some other members of our Hog group. It was alittle hot. Say hi to Robin for me. Diane
