10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #9

Good morning everyone!!!


So Ernie only woke up TWICE last night!! WOOO HOOO! Hopefully this is progress and not just a fluke!

This week I work the usual 9am - 6pm but I'm almost 100% positive that I'll be able to start at 6am next week!!! WOO HOO! Cross your fingers my request does go through. This way I'll be done at 3pm and have more time with the kids. Besides, I'm up pretty early anyway so working from home starting that early is not a big deal. I'm more productive in the morning.

Oh, and one more thing to update you all on....
WE BOOKED for THIS DECEMBER 17 - 24 at SSR !!!!!! I even booked our airfare through Airtran for direct flights out of Philadelphia. I'm SO PSYCHED!!! I just have to get our MVMCP tickets for the 18th now. I was fine for waiting to go to WDW next May but EB has been really talking about Christmastime at WDW for this year and who am I to resist??!! LOL

Good Monday Morning. Everyone have a nice weekend?

We had a really fun weekend here at our house....I made a special dinner for EB's birthday and Amelia and I made him a cake. The kids loved sitting at the "fancy table" in the dining room -- that's what Amelia calls it!

I'm determined to do some photo uploading today so I'll have pics to share with you all.

I'm off to work myself right now after another good workout this morning(433 calories). It was cut short a tad because Lina had an unfriendly friend stop by, to pay her a visit, and she wasn't quite prepared for it.............

Mine and Karen's each will be 9 (those two got along great on the last cruise - as did the adults ).

I think Sarah will have no problems finding kids to play with. She'll be turning 10 on the ship. She would probably love to hang out with your kids!

Megan seems to be coming in the middle. She will turn 12 while she's on the ship. I know the kids on the Kid Kruisers site are older. I'm sure it is just a matter of who is allowed online to some extent! I'm sure she will be fine on the cruise. I think she just wants to be able to chat on the DISboards too!

My Alex will be 13 on the cruise. She is 11 now and will be 12 in Sept. Tell her to jump in on the kids boards. Claire is my neice (she is 13) and is on there alot. Olivia is also on there and she will be 12 on the cruise.

I think Megan heard that Olivia will be 12. We are just trying to get her account permission set up so she doesn't have to use our logins. We started working on it in June before they went to grandma's house. I think there was something we had to fax in. So, as soon as Matthew gets a chance, we'll get her on!

YOu have a WDW trip coming up soon??? If so, when?

Matthew is driving with the kids on Thanksgiving Day while I work. I have to work Friday, too, so I'll fly out Saturday morning. Several of his family members are joining us. We're staying at one of the All Star resorts until Sunday. Then we move to Old Key West for a Grand Villa stay (3 bedroom DVC accomadation... very spacious). We're staying for a week.

I am excited to see the new attractions they have added since our last trip. I just haven't gotten as excited as previous trips. Maybe when the summer is over, I'll start looking forward to the break again!

My DD (Mackenzie) will be turning 10 next summer before the cruise. They could get to know each other before we leave.

OK Andy, you inspired me. I have been intending to get back into some sort of regular exercise. The girls and I went for our first "daily" walk this evening. I will move that up to a jog later, and increase duration. Once school is back in session, I have plans to get back to the gym. (I'm going to drag Tinkerbell.RN there too! ) I gained 5 pounds on the cruise in May and it hasn't gotten back off. I will either have to exercise more or stop going on cruises. (I think we all know that the latter isn't going to happen. )

THey are good. You wouldn't even know that Harrison had been stung. Of course the adult is still saying how bad they hurt. Oh to be a kid again!

We had a good weekend also. Scott's sister and fam were here. They left yesterday and now my dad is here for the week to keep the kids.

On our 3 night last May, Sarah spent some time in the kids' clubs, but Megan wasn't much interested. But, with 7 nights, I think some time to hang out there and at other events with some kids would be great for both of them!

It definitely makes a difference on how much time they spend in there when they have friends they are meeting in there. Alex wanted to be in the club the whole cruise last time. We had to drag her out to have family time.

We got our tickets for our September trip....we've never done MNSSHP before...any advice?

Hmm, the biggest tip is that you can get into the park at around 4 PM with your MNSSHP ticket, even though the party doesn't start till 7PM. Use the turnstyles all the way to the right when you go through. Also the parade and fireworks are NOT to be missed!!! Do the early parade so you don't miss the late parade, kids may not make it to the late one. And if you are staying late and want lots of candy, head to Fantasyland around 10-11 pm, they fill your bags with candy instead of just a few at a time. I'm a little jealous...this is my favourite time to be at the MK but I am glad you get to go...everyone should see it at least once!
